Motorola Solutions is seeking a self-motivated Software Engineer Intern for Summer 2026 to join a team developing innovative, mission-critical communication solutions. The role involves analyzing, developing, designing, and maintaining software for the organization’s products and systems, performing system integration, and developing documentation. Candidates will work in an agile team environment, contributing to next-generation public safety experiences and helping to build a safer future.
Must have:
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Must have a graduation date after December 2026
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely
  • Team software development using Agile practices
  • Security concepts such as authentication, access control, authorization, cryptography
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills
Good to have:
  • One or more of the following skills: C/C++, C#, .NET Core, Java/Kotlin, Make, Bash, Linux app/driver development, Windows app/driver development, Python, Powershell
  • Knowledge of cloud based solutions in Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Knowledge of Statistics, Gen AI, LLM

Job Description

Analyzes, develops, designs, and maintains software for the organization’s products and systems. Performs system integration of software and hardware to maintain throughput and program consistency. Develops, validates, and tests structures and user documentation.

Candidates are expected to work in a team environment utilizing the latest industry standard agile practices for planning, implementing, and delivering products and services.

  • Strong communication and problem solving skills

Additional Qualified Skills:
