Job Description
The Financial Accountant will be a key member of the Shared Service Centre Finance team, reporting to the Senior Finance Manager. This role is responsible for the financial accounting and reporting for Miniclip's Portuguese and Italian entities, ensuring compliance with local standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements. Key tasks include preparing monthly management accounts, managing external auditor relationships, coordinating VAT and income tax filings, and ensuring adherence to internal controls and corporate policies.
Good To Have:
- Recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA).
- Experience in Italian accounting standards and reporting requirements.
- Italian language skills.
- Experience with financial systems like Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Power BI.
Must Have:
- Manage accounting and financial reporting for Portugal and Italy.
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and accounting providers.
- Coordinate timely and accurate VAT and income tax filings.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and procedures.
- Partner with Financial Operations team for accounting practices adherence.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Good experience in financial accounting, control and reporting in a multinational company.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and Portuguese GAAP.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities
- Manage the accounting and financial reporting for Portugal and Italy, ensuring compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations and statutory requirements.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts including balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and accounting providers.
- Coordinate with the external accounting providers to ensure timely and accurate VAT and income tax filings and other regulatory submissions.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies and procedures, and external regulatory requirements.
- Partner with the Shared Service Centre Financial Operations team to ensure adherence to accounting practices and corporate policies.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. A recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA) is beneficial but not required.
- Good experience in financial accounting, control and reporting roles within a multinational company with the ability to work autonomously.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards (Portuguese GAAP). Experience in Italian accounting standards and reporting requirements is also preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset, comfortable working with teams and stakeholders in different regions.
- A high-quality results driven individual, with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken mandatory); Italian language skills are also beneficial.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Experience with financial systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365, Microsoft Power BI is beneficial).
