Finance and Strategy Planning Lead (Based in HCMC)

The Finance & Strategy team partners with leadership to ensure Amanotes achieves sustainable growth and operational excellence. This role involves leading finance and strategic planning, providing in-depth financial analysis and strategic consulting to management, and ensuring business decisions are data-backed. The lead will also build and strengthen the Finance team's capabilities through leadership, coaching, and process improvement.

Must Have

• Act as a Finance and Strategy Planning Lead, leading Finance and Strategic Planning across the company.
• Provide in-depth financial analysis and strategic consulting to the Management team.
• Ensure all company strategy and business decisions are backed by strong data analysis, market insights, and well-designed action plans.
• Build and strengthen the Finance team’s capabilities through leadership, coaching, and implementation of best-in-class processes.
• Oversee the full cycle of financial planning: forecast, budgeting, long-term planning.
• Analyze business results & provide actionable insights to improve financial and operational performance.
• Ensure transparency and accuracy in cost management, investments, and profitability tracking.
• Work closely with the Head of Finance and C-Suite to design, coordinate, and facilitate strategic planning and governance meetings.
• Prepare business cases, investment proposals, and strategic projects to support critical decision-making.
• Serve as a senior anchor in the Finance team, mentoring and developing junior members.
• Ensure Finance team can act as true business partners for different BUs.
• Establish standardized processes, improve workflows, and leverage BI tools to enhance efficiency.
• 7+ years of experience in Finance/Strategy (FP&A, Corporate Strategy, Investment, or Consulting).
• Proven track record in strategic planning, financial modeling, and business partnering at company level.
• Strong knowledge of financial analysis, business case building, and investment/M&A evaluation.
• Advanced Excel and proficiency in BI tools.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in coaching, mentoring, or managing teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Fluent in English (both written and spoken).

Good to Have

• Professional qualification such as CFA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with VBA is a plus.
• Prior experience in consulting, startups, or technology companies is strongly preferred.

YOUR MISSION

• Act as a Finance and Strategy Planning Lead, leading Finance and Strategic Planning across the company. Provide in-depth financial analysis, strategic consulting to the Management team, and ensure all company strategy and business decisions are backed by strong data analysis, market insights and well-designed action plan. Build and strengthen the Finance team’s capabilities (currently junior-heavy) through leadership, coaching, and implementation of best-in-class processes.
• You will report to the Head of Finance.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

• Finance Planning & Controlling

• Oversee the full cycle of financial planning: forecast, budgeting, long-term planning.
• Analyze business results & provide actionable insights to improve financial and operational performance.
• Ensure transparency and accuracy in cost management, investments, and profitability tracking.

• Strategic Finance & Business Partnering

• Work closely with the Head of Finance and C-Suite to design, coordinate, and facilitate strategic planning and governance meetings.
• Prepare business cases, investment proposals, and strategic projects to support critical decision-making.
• Identify potential opportunities for business development, M&A, partnerships, or strategic investments aligned with company direction.

• Leadership & Capability Building

• Serve as a senior anchor in the Finance team, mentoring and developing junior members.
• Ensure Finance team can act as true business partners for different BUs.
• Establish standardized processes, improve workflows, and leverage BI tools to enhance efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years of experience in Finance/Strategy (FP&A, Corporate Strategy, Investment, or Consulting).
• Proven track record in strategic planning, financial modeling, and business partnering at company level.
• Strong knowledge of financial analysis, business case building, and investment/M&A evaluation.
