Job Summary

Join eBay’s Germany Finance team as a Financial Analyst, driving financial performance for the Marketplaces business. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners, analyze diverse data, and provide actionable insights for operational and strategic decisions. Key responsibilities include owning month-end close activities, managing budgets and forecasts for DE and European Central Markets, building financial models for Trading & Monetization, partnering with business functions to optimize performance, preparing executive financial narratives, and implementing operational enhancements through process optimization and AI leverage.

Must Have

  • 2-3 years of experience in FP&A, Corporate finance, or Controllership.
  • Fluent in English and German.
  • Experience navigating a matrixed organization.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Comfort using generative AI tools for analysis and presentations.
  • Process-improvement mentality.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint) and Google Workspace.
  • High attention to detail, sound financial judgment, and understanding of data quality, governance.

About the role and the team:

Join eBay’s Germany Finance team and help drive the financial performance of our Marketplaces business. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional business partners, work with diverse data sources, and deliver actionable insights that support both operational execution and long-term strategic decisions.

You will play a key role in financial planning, performance tracking, and ad-hoc analysis in a fast-paced, diverse environment. Through ownership of analyses and projects, you will develop a deep understanding of the business and contribute directly to decisions that help shape eBay’s growth in Germany.

What you will accomplish:

  • Own Month end close activities, Managing the budget & Forecast for the P&L of DE and European Central Markets and provide variance analysis.
  • Build and maintain financial models especially for Trading & Monetization to support business & performance decisions.
  • Partner with business functions and cross-functional teams to optimize financial performance.
  • Prepare executive-ready financial narratives and presentations.
  • Implement operational enhancements to improve efficiency via process optimization & leveraging AI.

What you will bring:

  • 2–3 years of experience in FP&A, Corporate finance, or Controllership.
