Job Description

The FP&A Coordinator for the Freight Equipment business partners with the General Manager to deliver timely, accurate insights, support global collaboration, manage LATAM financials, address P&L issues, and lead monthly close and regional consolidation. This role will lead financial forecasting, analysis, and performance reporting for Freight Equipment sites in Latin America, collaborating with highly skilled professionals focused on financial excellence and continuous process improvement.
Good To Have:
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
  • Familiarity with Oracle financial systems.
  • Exposure to OneStream for corporate performance management.
Must Have:
  • Proven experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) with a strong track record of delivering insights that drive strategic decision-making.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity through structured, hypothesis-driven problem solving.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data modeling.
  • Academic background in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields.

Who will you be working with?

FP&A for the Freight Equipment business partners with the General Manager to deliver timely, accurate insights, support global collaboration, manage LATAM financials, address P&L issues, and lead monthly close and regional consolidation.

How will you make a difference?

The FP&A Coordinator will lead financial forecasting, analysis, and performance reporting for Freight Equipment sites in Latin America.

As part of the Finance team, you'll collaborate with highly skilled and driven professionals focused on financial excellence and continuous process improvement.

  • Proven experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), with a strong track record of delivering insights that drive strategic decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
  • Familiarity with Oracle financial systems.
  • Exposure to OneStream for corporate performance management.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Lead Freight Equipment P&L-level closing activities, drive transparency and predictability, and provide strong variance analysis.
  • Work with Actuals, Budget, Forecast, and Strategic Plan.
  • Explain variances in volume, mix, base cost, variable cost, project sales, margins, SGA, EBIT, working capital, and cash from operations.
  • Perform analytics of all variances, including walks/bridges from Budget to Actuals, Year-over-Year (YOY), and Forecast to Actuals.
  • Define, align, and execute the most effective finance and operations processes related to closing activities.
  • Lead communications between Finance and other teams regarding estimates, actuals, risks, opportunities, and planning.
  • Measure working capital and lead projects to improve it. Understand and manage trade-offs between cash and operations.
  • Lead communications with HQ and Regional Executives.
  • Work on cost roll-ups, contract analysis, and escalation formulas to provide final product pricing. Collaborate closely with Commercial, Customer Service, and Project Management teams.
  • Provide deep analysis of each cost involved in manufacturing each locomotive.
  • Prepare presentations for HQ and Regional Executives. Act as a business finance partner to the P&L Leader.
  • Maintain a strong interface with HQ through monthly and weekly meetings and presentations.
  • Analyze consolidated segment and location performance results.
