Freelance Production Assistant – Devils Broadcast

Who are we hiring?

The Freelance Production Assistant will support the Devils on-site game/studio broadcast for home game coverage on MSG Networks (Prudential Center, Newark, NJ) and remote access productions for away MSG Networks broadcasts (11 Penn Plaza office, New York City) throughout the NHL season, among other general PA assignments to support the Devils production/broadcast.

What will you do?

• Work as a Production Assistant/Runner during MSG Networks game telecasts, assisting truck/crew and talent throughout the course of game days.
• Log/transcribe Devils games assisting the game producer.
• Enter metadata for game highlights in logging system.
• Assist producers/crew with Research of statistical information and story lines as needed.
• Support the Feature Producer/crew during remote ENG shoots and edits as needed.

What do you need to succeed?

• Extensive knowledge of NHL, particularly Devils preferred.
• Knowledge/background in live television production/broadcasting operations, editing/producing.
• Ability to work under pressure and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Availability to work weeknights, weekends, and holiday shifts as games are scheduled, along with office days.
• Proficient in MS Office programs, e.g. Excel, Word, strong computer literacy, etc.
