We are seeking a Frontend Engineer to join our team and build interfaces for our core products and ecosystem. This role involves designing, developing, and improving experiences for millions of gamers and creators daily. You will collaborate with Designers, Product Managers, and Backend Engineers to create intuitive, performant, and accessible web and desktop applications. The position offers challenges at a massive scale, focusing on community-driven workflows for a passionate global audience. It's a highly collaborative role, requiring cross-functional work to experiment, iterate, and deliver impactful features.
Must Have
- Build and maintain frontend features and components across web and desktop experiences.
- Collaborate with Design, Product, and Backend Engineers to deliver end-to-end features.
- Implement responsive, accessible UI that works across various devices and browsers.
- Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and ensure efficient data flows.
- Ensure the frontend is performant, reliable, and well-tested.
- Participate in product delivery by providing technical input and evaluating trade-offs.
- Follow frontend best practices for testing, documentation, code quality, and CI/CD.
- Proven working experience in a similar role.
- Experience working with modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Strong understanding of JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
- Experience working in agile teams.
- Good communication skills and comfort collaborating in a cross-functional team.
Good to Have
- Experience with large scale web applications, content platforms, or gaming communities.
- Experience with gaming ecosystems, UGC platforms, or modding tools.
- Passion for games and mods.

Frontend Engineer
Location: Remote with the UK or Europe
Salary range: £50,000 - £60,000 - compensation outside the UK will be adjusted based on location.

We’re looking for a Frontend Engineer to join our team, building the interfaces behind our core products and ecosystem. In this role, you’ll help design, develop, and improve the experiences that millions of gamers and creators use every day.
You’ll collaborate closely with Designers, Product Managers, and Backend Engineers to bring intuitive, performant, and accessible experiences to life across web and desktop applications. You’ll work on challenges that are massive in scale, deep community driven workflows, complex, and for a passionate global audience.
This is a highly collaborative role where you’ll work cross-functionally to experiment, iterate, and deliver features that meaningfully impact the business.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain frontend features and components across Nexus Mods’ web and desktop experiences.
- Collaborate with Design, Product, Backend Engineers within your pod to deliver end to end features.
- Implement responsive, accessible UI that works seamlessly across a wide range of devices and browsers.
- Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and help share efficient data flows.
- Ensure the frontend is performant, reliable, and well-tested.
- Participate in product delivery by providing technical input, contributing to prototypes, and helping evaluate trade-offs.
- Follow frontend best practices around testing, documentation, code quality, and CI/CD workflows.
Requirements
- Proven working experience in a similar role.
- Experience working with modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Strong understanding of JavaScript, CSS and HTML.
- An interest in learning and exploring new technologies.
- Experience working in agile teams.
- Good communication skills and comfort collaborating in a cross functional team.
Bonus Skills
- Experience with large scale web applications, content platforms, or gaming communities.
- Experience with gaming ecosystems, UGC platforms, or modding tools.
