The Frostbite Architecture Team is looking for a Software Engineer. This role involves designing the architecture of the engine and developing tools. Responsibilities include evolving the architecture, improving features for future EA games, creating tools for the Frostbite ecosystem, collaborating with teams, and staying updated on industry trends. The engineer will work in an agile environment, writing testable, maintainable, and scalable code. The position focuses on continuous improvement of software quality and long-term code health.
Must have:
  • Experience in a Software Engineering role.
  • Experience in C++ and C# development.
  • Experience with a game or relevant application.
  • Experience in software development best practices.
  • Desire to push the boundaries of technology.
  • Enhancing productivity and efficiency in software development
  • Interest in designing and developing an architecture with long term code health focus

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Frostbite Architecture Team. As a member of this team, you will design the architecture of the engine and develop tools that enhance the productivity and efficiency of our software engineers.

Responsibilities

  • You will be part of the team evolving the architecture of the Frostbite engine.

  • You will contribute directly to improving features and workflows for future EA games.

  • You will create tools enabling the entire Frostbite ecosystem.

  • You will collaborate with teams to achieve quality and performance goals.

  • You will stay updated and apply industry trends and new technologies.

  • You will work in an agile engineering team - writing and evolving well designed, testable, maintainable and scalable code

  • You will drive continuous improvement of software quality and long term code health

Requirements

  • You have worked in a Software Engineering role.

  • You have experience in C++ and C# development.

  • You have worked on a game or other relevant application.

  • You have experience in software development good practices.

  • You have a desire to push the boundaries of technology.

  • Your motivation comes from enhancing productivity and efficiency in software development

  • You have a great interest to design and develop an architecture with long term code health focus

  • Experience with tools such as Git, Perforce, VisualStudio and CI/CD platforms are a benefit.
