Kwalee seeks a Senior Games Artist to create exceptional 2D and 3D artwork, ensuring a consistent high-quality visual style across their games. Responsibilities include producing art assets for prototyping and full production, presenting concepts, contributing to game designs, ensuring visual consistency, researching industry trends, archiving assets, sourcing external art, and mentoring junior artists. The role requires expertise in industry-standard tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, Blender, Maya, or Unity, a strong understanding of game art principles, and excellent communication and teamwork skills. This is a permanent, on-site position in Leamington Spa.

As we continue to grow, we are now looking for a Senior Games Artist to join our Art team.
As a Senior Games Artist, your overall goal is to make our games look outstanding. You will be responsible for creating exceptional 2D and 3D artwork while ensuring a consistent and high-quality visual style across our games. You will work closely with Lead Artists, Designers, and Developers, collaborating to create highly successful F2P games. Together, you will maximise our commercial success by delivering engaging and visually appealing experiences.
This is a permanent role based in our Leamington Spa studio, where our daily in-office collaboration fuels creativity and innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Create high-quality artwork, including sketches, concepts, 2D/3D graphics, animations, VFX, UI design, and layouts.
- Produce and iterate on art assets suitable for prototyping and full production.
- Present concepts and finalised ideas to the team.
- Contribute to game designs to ensure our games are visually engaging and fun.
- Ensure a consistent and polished visual style across all projects.
- Research industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance game visuals.
- Archive and organise art assets for efficient re-use.
- Source art from external libraries when appropriate.
- Provide mentorship and support to Junior and Mid-Level Games Artists.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Games Artist, with a strong portfolio showcasing 2D and 3D artwork.
- Expertise in industry-standard tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Blender, Maya, or Unity.
- Strong understanding of game art principles, including UI/UX, VFX, and animation.
- Ability to think creatively and develop new ideas for game visuals.
- Experience working on F2P games is a plus.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across disciplines.
- Based in our office in Leamington Spa with 5 days per week on-site.
