Christian Brothers Automotive is seeking an energetic and positive Automotive General Service Technician / Mechanic. Responsibilities include performing maintenance and repair services such as oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, and suspension alignments. Technicians will also conduct emissions and safety inspections, troubleshoot guest concerns, complete courtesy vehicle inspections, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The role involves working as part of a team, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization, and effectively communicating vehicle issues to the service department. A minimum of 1+ years of professional automotive experience is required.
Must have:
  • 1+ years of automotive professional experience
  • Experience performing oil changes
  • Experience with general vehicle maintenance
  • Valid driver's license
  • Small investment in tools
Good to have:
  • Ability to work with tools on lifted vehicles
  • Ability to work in tight spaces
  • Dexterity to efficiently use hand-tools
  • Ability to walk/stand for most of the workday
  • Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
  • Ability to keep a brisk work pace
  • Proficiency navigating a computer

Job Overview:

 

**A minimum of 1+ years of professional automotive experience is required for this opening.**

We are looking for technicians who are energetic, upbeat, and have a positive attitude. The technicians we are looking for have to seek out solutions to tough problems with a strong passion for doing what's right for our guests.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • General Service Technicians / Mechanics perform all maintenance and repair services including but not limited to; oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, suspension alignments, and more
  • Perform state-mandated vehicle emission and safety inspections in accordance with state regulations
  • Work as part of a team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively
  • Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections
  • Ensure all preventive maintenance reports are complete and accurate
  • Comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA right-to-know
  • Assist in all housekeeping functions as directed by Management
  • Work closely with the service department and effectively communicate the extent of any damage or malfunctions on a guest's vehicle
  • Follow and promote our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Current driver’s licenses
  • A minimum of 1+ years of automotive professional experience is required for this opening.
  • Must have experience performing oil changes and general maintenance on vehicles.  
  • Must have a small investment in tools.

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds
  • Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head
  • Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle's needed repair
  • Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand-tools
  • Walk/stand for the majority of the workday
  • Drive manual transmission vehicles
  • Keeping a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment
  • Efficiently navigate a computer
