The Nasdaq Data business is a world leader in financial, economic, and alternative data. We create and deliver innovative data products that power some of the world’s most successful companies.
In recent years, a large focus for our group has been expanding our collection of unique Alternative Data products for our institutional investor clients. Well-known examples of Alternative Data include sentiment measures, real-time tracking of vehicles via GPS transponders, satellite monitoring of industrial facilities, and consumer insights gleaned from anonymized transactions. These datasets are often considered “alternative” because they do not fall in the traditional categories of data used by the financial industry: stock prices, company fundamentals, options and futures data, and so forth. Their importance in the financial markets is increasing rapidly as hedge funds and active asset managers are eager for data that offers predictive insights into the performance of individual companies, sectors, and the macro economy.
Nasdaq is currently seeking an experienced Head of Data Partnerships to join our team. Reporting to Nasdaq's Global Head of Product Development and Innovation, the successful candidate will lead our Data Partnerships team in securing high value data that enables us to expand our catalog of unique and market leading data products.
The successful candidate will leverage their expertise within capital markets and Alternative Data to lead our efforts in forming partnerships to secure data assets and oversee a team that maintains these important relationships.
This is a unique and applied role with the vast majority of the individual's time spent on formulating and executing our partnership strategy, leading and mentoring their team members, and pursuing and negotiating partnerships. In this role, the successful candidate will work closely with our team leadership encompassing Product, Data Science, Data Engineering, Sales, Marketing and Client Success.
The ideal candidate is a highly skilled partnership negotiator and relationship manager with experience in the capital markets or financial services industry.
This position offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment (at least 3 days a week in office, subject to change), providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
