Job Description

The Head of IP Licensing BD, China Market at Yodo1 will connect top Chinese game developers with global IP collaboration opportunities. Responsibilities include developing a network of developers, building licensing collaborations with global IP partners (Hasbro, Legendary, AMC, etc.), studying partner IPs to create business strategies, negotiating deals, ensuring successful launches, maintaining strong developer relationships, and providing market analysis reports. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of sales experience in gaming, a deep understanding of the Chinese mobile game market, and excellent communication skills in both Chinese and English.

Who We’re Looking For

Yodo1 is looking for a Head of IP Licensing BD, China Market to lead our Brands in Games Business Development in China, connecting with top-performing Chinese games and creating new partnerships with our ever-expanding network of global premium IP holders, including Hasbro, Legendary, AMC, Sony Pictures, and more!

What We Expect

You will:

  • Develop a network of top Chinese developers, grouped by game genre and demographics, and build collaborations for licensing our global IP partners;

  • Study our partner IPs and build business strategies accordingly, matching games with the right brands, negotiating with developers, and driving the signing of the agreement.

  • Keep close contact with potential partners, and capitalize on internal and external resources to push cooperation forward and ensure the successful launch and smooth operation.

  • Maintain a good long-term relationship with developers and explore additional opportunities for collaboration.

  • Continuously monitor the global gaming industry, trends, and updates from developers; provide in-depth market analysis reports and shape our IP business strategy accordingly.

You must have:

  • At least 5 years' experience in sales, with proven success in signing deals with inbound revenue within the gaming industry.

  • Ability to rally a sales team around achieving revenue targets.

  • Passion for and deep understanding of the Chinese mobile game market and an extensive network of top developers.

  • Native-level Chinese fluency with strong spoken and written English and ability to communicate and cooperate across cultures.

  • Self-motivation and problem-solving skills; able to learn quickly and continuously and excel in a fast-paced, KPI-driven team; willing to challenge yourself and try new things.

You might have:

  • Familiarity with brand licensing and/or experience in an IP-related project.

  • Scalable thinking: Yodo1 is growing fast; those who can think big advance quickly.
