Hi, I'm Angela, Head of Growth Sports here at Hawk-Eye; I'm growing my team and would love to invite you to apply! The Growth Sports department works with a wide range of sports that are growing in terms of Hawk-Eye involvement or their global popularity, including things like Athletics, Swimming, Combat Sports and Padel.
The Head of Projects has responsibility for all Project activity in the Growth Sports department globally. Reporting to the Head of Growth Sports, and with a dotted line into the Global PMO team.
Hawk-Eye projects can come in a variety of shapes and sizes, but largely focus around the following key scenarios:
New Business Pipeline: Define & lead the planning & go-to-market execution of strategic new projects, including big bets such as boxing, motorsports, and golf.
Expanded services: Rollout and integration of additional existing Hawk-Eye technologies and services for existing customers
New Tech: Working closely with Hawk-Eye Product/Development teams, the Head of Projects will translate client and business requirements into actionable requests to the Tech, Product, and Delivery
Major Events: Lead the planning & execution for service delivery on major global single/multisport events, such as the Olympics
Defining ways of working: Working to standardise processes and communications within the Growth Sports team and externally to peers and stakeholders across Sony Sports
In order to deliver in these scenarios, it will be essential for the Head of Projects to maintain continuous communication with a range of stakeholders including customers and a range of internal Hawk-Eye partners including: Commercial Team, Operations, Hardware Management, Product/Development and the PMO.
The expectation is that this role will support the Head of Growth Sports in communicating and prioritising growth sports requirements across the business, while directly driving strategically important projects from inception to completion.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES »
Strategic Big Bets:
Define and manage a go-to-market playbook for the delivery of new sport verticals for Hawk-Eye, working cross-functionally to define requirements, size effort, and build timelines and budgets to support.
Support Commercial and Management teams in the discovery / due diligence phases of RFP / Commercial Proposals to ensure that all proposals are well-considered, well-planned and accurately presented
Work closely with Forecasting and Procurement teams both within the region and centrally to design, procure and build hardware and infrastructure to meet the needs of the project.
Define and execute end-to-end delivery plans for project deliveries, taking the project from discovery through to delivery and closure, handing off to Operations for long-term service delivery.
Expanded Services:
Support the adoption and successful delivery of additional existing Hawk-Eye technologies and services for existing customers through knowledge sharing, planning and communication
Work with existing projects teams to implement the relevant Operational changes (hardware, software, staffing, infrastructure) to successfully integrate additional technology or improved processes into their day-to-day operations
Communicate across the business to gain knowledge and insight into best practices which may improve the range and quality of services offered in the APAC region
New Tech:
Play a key role in the innovative development and delivery of new technologies to support strategic projects within Growth Sports
Support the definition of Product Requirements based on an understanding of customer need
Help to shape the Product to ensure suitability for both the Customer and Hawk-Eye operations team
Support the deployment, testing and integration of new technologies into Operations (existing or newly created operations teams)
Major Events:
Oversee the scaling up and delivery of high-quality Hawk-Eye services on a global scale
Work closely with relevant external stakeholders (e.g. broadcast, event, venue, officials) to coordinate the seamless integration of Hawk-Eye service delivery in a Major Event context.
Work closely with PMO to support the delivery of Global Events through collaboration on resources, expertise and local knowledge.
Team Management:
Alongside these core responsibilities, the Head of Projects will lead a team of project managers to define, document, and share best practices across the global growth sports function. They will work with PMO to ensure Growth Sports has visibility of innovation and development happening in other parts of the business, and will maximise their influence across the region, and provide high-quality delivery of all Growth Sports projects.

Essential:
Demonstrable track record of project delivery
Ideally complex, technical services
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to forge relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
Present a trusted, engaging and proactive face of Hawk-Eye
Impeccable organisation and prioritisation ability
Experience in delivering projects in challenging environments and to tight deadlines
Ability to manage and oversee multiple projects, with excellent time management and prioritisation
Business focus and understanding
Experience within an international role
Preferred:
Knowledge of Hawk-Eye products and services
Broad experience of Hawk-Eye technologies and service delivery models
Understanding of the roles and responsibility of key functions across the Hawk-Eye business
Sports industry experience
