HR Business Partner

Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation’s leading brands. We’re looking to hire a HR Business Partner for a remote contract role with a leading SaaS company.

In this role, you’ll support employee relations, performance management, onboarding, and HR initiatives to drive engagement, retention, and a positive workplace culture. You’ll collaborate with HR and cross-functional teams to ensure consistent application of policies and support organizational goals.

HR Business Partner Responsibilities:

• Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions and manager support on HR policies, practices, and programs.
• Support managers in addressing basic employee relations issues, escalating complex matters as appropriate.
• Assist in the performance management cycle (goal setting, feedback, mid-year and annual reviews), including communication, tracking, and coaching.
• Assist and collaborate on employee engagement survey and post-survey actions and follow-ups.
• Collaborate with HR team members to support talent planning, employee engagement initiatives, and retention strategies.
• Provide day-to-day support in interpreting and applying HR policies to ensure consistency and compliance with US employment law.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition to support smooth hiring and onboarding processes.
• Support learning and development initiatives by identifying common needs and helping implement programs that develop employee capabilities.
• Use data and feedback to contribute to a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.
• Participate in cross-functional HR projects and continuous improvement efforts.

HR Business Partner Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of HR experience, preferably with experience as an HR Business Partner or in a generalist capacity.
• Familiarity with U.S. employment laws and HR best practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service mindset.
• Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.
• Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
