Job Description

The HR Operations Co-Op is responsible for executing high-volume, process-driven tasks that support core HR operations. This role requires strong attention to detail, consistency, and a service-oriented mindset to ensure smooth processes. The HR Operations Support works within structured guidelines and partners with cross-functional teams to deliver timely and accurate HR support. CAE's Defense and Security business unit focuses on helping prepare military customers to develop and maintain the highest levels of mission readiness.
Must have:
  • Enrolled in an accredited bachelor's degree (or higher level) college/university program
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Required to work between 15-29 hours a week
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple, competing assignments in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to be extremely flexible and adaptable
  • Detail oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate – verbal & written – at all levels of the organization
  • U.S. citizen (due to U.S. Government contract requirements)
  • Eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance
  • Comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures
  • Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form
  • Not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know
  • Not divulge information outside company without management approval
  • All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources
  • Ability to operate a personal computer
  • Communicate via telephone
  • Give oral presentations
  • Required to work in the office

Summary

The HR Operations Co-Op is responsible for executing high-volume, process-driven tasks that support core HR operations. The HR Operations Support works within structured guidelines and partners with cross-functional teams to deliver timely and accurate HR support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Supports day to day HR operational needs through timely execution of transactional tasks. These activities ensure employee records and system data are initiated accurately.

  • Provide support for daily HR operational needs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of data and processes
  • Monitor/Manage shared communication channels and respond to inquiries in a timely manner
  • Schedule interviews and coordinate candidate logistics
  • Maintain accurate and complete employee records and documentation, including repository updates
  • Send out first day communications such as confirmation emails, manager calendar invites and new hire surveys to ensure smooth employee experiences
  • Contribute to compliance efforts by supporting audits and related reviews as needed
  • Other duties as needed

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited bachelor's degree (or higher level) college/university program

Security Responsibilities

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
