Team members should be able to come to work every day, work on a product they are proud of, love what they do, and feel energized by their peers. With our roots deep in the open source community, we’re all about the mission: provide solutions that deliver Clean Code.

The Impact You Will Have:

A Sonar HR Operations Specialist is the critical engine that enables our global workforce and rapid company scaling. This role transforms complex, multinational labor laws into standardized, automated system controls within our HRIS (BambooHR), ensuring flawless processing, benefits accuracy, and statutory compliance across every region. You will directly own the integrity of our global employee data, mitigate high-risk legal exposure (such as misclassification penalties), and streamline the entire employee lifecycle—from a seamless first day to their final exit. Your work ensures that our entire HR organization can remain strategic and efficient, allowing us to continue our aggressive growth trajectory globally.

On a daily basis, you will

  • Process Global Onboarding: Execute the daily, end-to-end digital onboarding workflow for new hires across all countries, ensuring accurate data entry into the HRIS and immediate compliance with local regulatory requirements.
  • Audit Data Integrity: Run daily reports to proactively identify and correct errors, inconsistencies, or missing data points (e.g., job titles, organizational hierarchies, or local ID numbers) within the HRIS.
  • Support Global Payroll Cycles: Validate data feeds and inputs shared with external payroll vendors and internal teams, ensuring that compensation, bonuses, and deductions are accurate across all international payrolls.
  • Resolve Tier 2 Employee Tickets: Address complex, system-related HR inquiries escalated from Tier 1 support (e.g., troubleshooting discrepancies, processing inquiries, correcting historical absence records, or resolving issues).
  • Maintain Compliance Documentation: Update and manage the repository of official employment forms, policy acknowledgments, and contractor classification checklists for all operating jurisdictions.
  • Coordinate International On and Off-Boarding: Process new hires, terminations and resignations globally, ensuring all pay calculations, system access kick-offs, revocations, and required documents are completed on time and legally compliant.
  • Run and Distribute Reports: Generate standardized reports on key metrics (e.g., headcount, turnover, compensation trends) ensuring the data is accurate and correctly filtered by region or department.

The skills you demonstrate

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in a fast paced, technology driven organization.
  • Strong familiarity with information systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field
  • Must have solid organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • High level of integrity/professionalism in dealing with confidential data
  • Experience working in a global environment
