Reporting to the Global Director of the Human Resources team, the Human Resources Team Lead - Canada will be responsible for advising, coaching, and collaborating with Intelerad employees on talent management, performance management, benefits, compensation and rewards, employee relations, organizational development, and change management. While the focus of this position is on Canadian employees, the HR Team Lead will partner with the rest of the team on broader initiatives such as employee development, system implementation, acquisition integration, etc.

The role will play a crucial part in enhancing our human resources function by providing support in policy drafting, employee relations, benefits administration, and general HR operations. The mission of this position will be to support all employees in Intelerad's Canadian region, as well as provide additional support to UK employees.

Responsibilities

Talent Management:

  • Support the company by providing an HR framework, process, and tools to enable organizational effectiveness and agility
  • Support leaders by enabling positive engagement with their teams
  • Work with talent development to provide training content that supports development programs and meets organizational and employee needs

Performance Management

  • Promote and explain performance management processes to managers and employees
  • Support the deployment of the annual performance management process including objective setting, individual meetings, and annual and quarterly conversations
  • Facilitate calibration meetings and work with managers to develop action plans
  • Coach managers and provide guidance to ensure performance management principles are respected and positively drive employee engagement
  • Work collaboratively with the leadership team to ensure individual and team objectives align with organizational goals and defined objectives

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Collaborate with the compensation expert and business leaders to ensure proper understanding and execution of reward processes
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to drive the deployment of the annual rewards process, including salary reviews, bonuses, and employee rewards

Employee Relations:

  • Address employee relations issues, which may include problem resolution, employee and management counseling, and performance improvement, as needed.
  • Participate in all disciplinary actions, including termination of employment, and conduct all exit interviews for Canadian employees

Organizational Design, Development, and Change Management:

  • Collaborate with business leaders to determine development/training needs
  • Work with business leaders to develop appropriate organizational/team structures
  • Use data from retention and exit interviews to propose/inform change
  • Develop retention/engagement strategies
  • Actively participate in internal communication to support change, projects, and HR vision Project Management:
  • Manage projects or participate as a team member in certain key HR initiatives and ensure alignment. Projects include, but are not limited to: software implementation, acquisition integration, change management, etc.
  • Identify opportunities and propose improvements aligned with the company's vision, goals, and priorities

Collaborate with other members of the People team to establish a regular reporting rhythm to the leadership team.

Prerequisites for employment:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience
  • More than 5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or similar roles
  • Knowledge of Canadian labor regulations
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
  • Bilingual in French and English
  • Works collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Demonstrates a strong business acumen
  • Ability to develop creative HR solutions that add value and meet business needs
  • Excellent listening skills and ability to communicate effectively with others
  • Ability to organize work effectively and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment

The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 75,000/year to CAD 100,000/year. Compensation may vary based on knowledge, skills, and experience related to the position. Intelerad offers total compensation. Compensation depends on the position offered. A bonus and other forms of compensation may be included in a total compensation program, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, retirement, paid time off (PTO), and/or other benefits.
