Job Description

This role involves overseeing the definition, design, verification, and documentation for analog and mixed-signal IC development. Responsibilities include determining architecture and logic design, system design and simulation, and evaluating all aspects of the IC development flow from high-level design to post-layout verification. The engineer will conduct experimental tests, analyze data for debug and performance, and contribute to multi-dimensional designs.
Must have:
  • Oversee definition, design, verification, and documentation for analog and mixed-signal IC development
  • Determine architecture design, logic design, and system design and simulation
  • Define module interfaces/formats for simulation
  • Contribute to multi-dimensional designs involving analog/mixed signal design, layout floor planning and evaluation, design modeling and verification
  • Evaluate all aspects of the IC development flow from high-level design to post-layout verification
  • Conduct experimental tests and analyze sophisticated testing data for debug, performance evaluation, and future design improvement
  • Proficiency in Cadence composer/virtuoso/ADE
  • Experience with high speed analog/mixed signal design
  • Knowledge of VerilogA/AMS/SystemVerilog modeling
  • Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of related experience

Job Description:

Analog/Mixed Signal IC Design Engineer:

Oversees definition, design, verification, and documentation for analog and mixed signal IC development. Determines architecture design, logic design, and system design and simulation. Defines module interfaces/formats for simulation. Contributes to the development of multi-dimensional designs involving but not limited to analog/mixed signal design, layout floor planning and evaluation, design modeling and verification. Evaluates all aspects of the IC development flow from high-level design to schematic design, from layout floor planning to post layout verification, from design modeling to system performance verification. Conducts experimental tests, and analyzes sophisticated testing data for debug, performance evaluation as well as for future design improvement. May also review vendor capability to support development.

  • Supervision: Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments. May supervise the activities of others.
  • Knowledge: Having broad expertise or unique knowledge of analog, mixed signal design as well Bicmos semiconductor process, layout floor planning, layout effects on circuit and system level, uses skills to contribute to development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways.
  • Job Complexity: Works on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles. Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Interacts and coordinates with other functional groups to achieve corporation business goals.
  • Skill: Cadence composer/virtuoso/ADE, high speed analog/mixed signal design, VerilogA/AMS/SystemVerilog modeling
  • Experience: Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of related experience; at this level a postgraduate degree is typically expected

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $127,100 - $203,400

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
