Scope: The Technical Consultant Int – Cloud acts as the point of escalation for infrastructure operations, responsible for handling complex issues, driving root cause analysis, and implementing long-term solutions. This role also contributes to infrastructure design, optimization, and strategic initiatives, while mentoring L1/L2 teams and ensuring adherence to best practices. Our current technical environment: • Microsoft Azure • VMware ESXi
What you’ll do:
• Perform troubleshooting of hardware, OS, and network issues based on standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Log, track, and update incidents and requests in the ticketing/ITSM system.
• Escalate unresolved issues to L3 teams with proper documentation and logs.
• Perform routine health checks, daily checklist activities, and report deviations.
• Support user requests related to access, password resets, and basic infra queries.
• Adhere to defined processes, SLAs, and compliance/security guidelines.
• Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, knowledge articles, and runbooks.
• Manage servers (Windows/Linux), virtualization platforms, storage systems, and network devices.
• Implement standard changes and upgrades to infrastructure components.
• Support patching, backup/restore operations, and performance monitoring.
• Create technical documentation, knowledge articles, and mentor L1/L2 engineers.
• Participate in audits, compliance checks, and ensure security standards are met.
• Collaborate with architects and project teams on infrastructure design and integration.
What we are looking for:
• Bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science/Electronics (preferred) or equivalent diploma.
• 5+ years of relevant infrastructure support/engineering experience
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Red Hat, VMware, CCNA, ITIL Intermediate) are highly desirable.
• Deep expertise in at least two infrastructure domains (e.g., server administration, networking, storage, cloud, security).
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with ability to solve complex, multi-domain issues.
• Experience with automation/scripting (PowerShell, Python, Ansible, Terraform, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with enterprise monitoring, backup, and ITSM tools.
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes and enterprise operations.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to collaborate with business, operations, and engineering teams.
• This role involves rotational shifts, including night shifts, to provide 24/7 application support.
• Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as per shift schedule.
• Ability to handle responsibilities independently during off-hours.
