Our commitments, your benefits

  • Success driven by our technological excellence, your experience, and our shared ambition
  • An attractive compensation package
  • Continuous skill development: training courses, internal academies, and internal communities
  • An inclusive, benevolent environment that respects employee balance
  • Recognized societal and environmental commitment

Your daily life

As a center of excellence for aviation and optronic equipment support, Thales demonstrates its commitment to meeting legitimate requirements for the availability of airborne equipment, in addition to its historical activity of producing inertial units and gyrolasers. It is easily accessible from Paris, Tours, and Poitiers. You will thrive in a city rich in culture, green, and without any traffic jams!

Join the Sensors department in Châtellerault (86), composed of about a hundred engineers specializing in products such as navigation probes and GNSS receivers. This position requires close collaboration with the Valence (26) team and involves remote interactions and occasional travel.

Missions:

Integrated into our development projects, your missions will focus on the technical maturity of sensor products.

  • You define, design, and carry out studies and simulations of sensors that will corroborate observations made with theoretical consolidations by simulation.
  • You establish the justification files for the designs of inertial products, attesting to the "predictive" performance of the products (by analysis and/or simulation).
  • You carry out or have carried out the tests that consolidate and explain the physical phenomena at play in our inertial products.
  • You will monitor the verification and qualification phases of the products and participate in incorporating test feedback into design improvements.
  • You will be responsible for processing and leading the resolution of complex technical, technological, or industrial issues (test means, measurement method, variability control). To do this, you will be led to build a network of experts in different fields within the THALES group to help resolve problems.

To carry out these missions, you can rely on peers in the field present within the department, who will allow you to gradually gain autonomy on the designs entrusted to you.

Your profile:

You have a Bac+5 degree (engineer or equivalent) in general or aeronautical engineering and have:

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in the field of physical element measurement, ideally in inertial navigation.
  • Strong skills in control systems, automation, and signal processing.
  • Experience in aeronautics? That's a plus!
  • Motivation to understand and explain physical phenomena.
  • Skills in analog electronics, EMC, and vibration testing will help you understand your environmental qualification tests.
  • The use of Matlab and Python will contribute to your efficiency without being a criterion, as it can be learned otherwise during your activities.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.

You are recognized for your capacity for compromise, synthesis, autonomy, and willingness to transmit?

Then this position is for you!

Thales, a Handi-Engaged company, recognizes all talents. Diversity is our best asset. Apply and join us!

As the position may require access to information relating to national defense secrecy, the selected person will be subject to an authorization procedure, in accordance with the provisions of articles R.2311-1 et seq. of the Defense Code and IGI 1300 SGDSN/PSE of August 9, 2021.
