What You’ll Do

Our Multimedia Software team builds next-generation computer vision pipelines for mobile products. You’ll work alongside senior software engineers and researchers on real-world product that ships on Samsung’s Exynos SOC.

Location: Onsite at our San Diego office 5 days a week in alignment with our Flexible Work policy

Reports to: Sr. Principal Engineer

• Profile the end-to-end computer vision pipeline on Exynos SOC to identify latency and memory bottlenecks
• Collaborate with senior algorithm engineers to propose and prototype neural network architecture refinements (e.g. layer fusion, mixed precision, quantization)
• Design and implement post-processing algorithm improvements
• Integrate revised models and algorithms into the embedded software stack (HAL, Android/Linux build system)
• Validate functional correctness and accuracy trade-offs on synthetic and realistic datasets
• Document optimization methodology, profiling results, and performance gains in final presentation
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned

What You Bring

• Pursuing Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely-related technical field (e.g., Robotics, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, or Embedded Systems)
• Must have at least 1 academic quarter/semester remaining
• Python, C/C++
• Computer Vision Algorithms
• Machine Learning/Deep Learning
