Job Description

This internship offers the opportunity to design analog circuit building blocks for advanced RF transceivers in FinFET process, including LNA, mixer, VCO, PLL, and power amplifier. You will gain skills in analog and RF circuit design in advanced CMOS nodes, RF system basics, SystemVerilog modeling, AMS simulation, EM simulation, and RF/analog layout. The role involves designing key analog building blocks, building high-performance CMOS circuits, collaborating with experienced designers, and innovating to improve RF transceiver performance.

  • Knowledge on SystemVerilog and Python.
Must Have:
  • Current student pursuing PhD in Electrical Engineering
  • Must have at least 1 academic quarter/semester remaining
  • Good knowledge on key analog circuit building block design, including amplifier, bandgap, biasing circuitry, oscillator, dividers, comparators, and etc.
  • Familiar with Cadence for simulation and Virtuoso for layout.

What You’ll Do

The Advanced Circuit and Systems RFIC team designs cutting edge RF transceivers for cellular and connectivity products.

Reports to: Sr. Director

In this role, you will:

  • Design key analog building blocks for advanced RF transceivers.
  • Build high performance CMOS circuits in advanced CMOS nodes.
  • Working together with experienced RF/analog designers to solve real production problems.
  • Invite both circuit and system innovation to improve RF transceiver performance.
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

What You Bring

  • Current student pursuing PhD in Electrical Engineering
  • Must have at least 1 academic quarter/semester remaining
  • Good knowledge on key analog circuit building block design, including amplifier, bandgap, biasing circuitry, oscillator, dividers, comparators, and etc.
  • Familiar with Cadence for simulation and Virtuoso for layout.
  • Good to have knowledge on SystemVerilog and Python.
