The Opportunity

When you join PwC Acceleration Centers (ACs), you step into a pivotal role focused on actively supporting various Acceleration Center services, from Advisory to Assurance, Tax and Business Services. In our innovative hubs, you’ll engage in challenging projects and provide distinctive services to support client engagements through enhanced quality and innovation. You’ll also participate in dynamic and digitally enabled training that is designed to grow your technical and professional skills.

As part of the Accounting team you are expected to prepare and deliver accurate reconciliation and reporting of accounting activity. As a Senior Associate you are expected to analyze complex problems, mentor others, and maintain top standards. You are expected to focus on building client relationships and developing a deeper understanding of the business context, while managing and inspiring others to deliver quality work.

Responsibilities

• Understanding financial activity/reporting, reconciliation process, financial reporting, accounting principles and practices;
• Keeping team and leadership informed on progress and issues affecting the department and provide suggestions to manager on balancing team's workloads for adjustment and redistribution of assignments accordingly;
• Delivering and analyzing accounting/financial results accurately;
• Identifying opportunities for improvement, and making recommendations and supporting conclusions using current data analytics/modeling tools;
• Understanding functions in business operations, business processes, organization legal structure, financial systems and software;
• Enabling adherence to policies/procedures and driving awareness/understanding of policies/procedures;
• Assisting in resolving issues, accurately answers customer inquires and proactively report potential issues that may impact financial results;
• Providing analytical and technical assistance to all staff;
• Preparing and distributing standard and/or ad hoc financial reports;
• Developing changes/additions to existing reporting packages;
• Managing the documentation of processes, system and process enhancements, process flows and operating procedures for service area;
• Supporting management in maintaining Firm Accounting Policies;
• Utilizing the Firm's standard suite of work solutions, such as Google Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SAP R3, Business Warehouse, Oracle, etc;
• Utilizing data analytics/modeling tools, such as Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI, UIPath etc;
• Analyzes data to prioritize and prepare multiple monthly, quarterly, and annual foreign entity and employment tax filing requirements; Reviews, analyzes, and prepares account reconciliations for domestic/foreign employment and withholding taxes as well as shadow payroll cost and excess tax cost calculations; Monitors and schedules communications and provides guidance to international business travelers.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Public Accounting or other business related field.
• +2 years of relevant experience in: financial statements, account reconciliations, financial reporting, consolidation accounting for our foreign subsidiaries.
• Knowledge in USGaap/IRSS
• Oral and written proficiency in English required
• Advanced Excel and Power BI user level (mandatory). Alterix is a plus.
• Passion for data analytics/modeling tools and upskilling on new tools
