Barracuda is a leading cybersecurity company. This role involves overseeing and processing end-to-end payroll operations for approximately 800 employees across EMEA and APAC regions, ensuring compliance with local regulations and tax laws. The manager will coordinate with HR and finance teams, support employees with pay-related questions, and manage Time and Attendance and HR systems. The role also includes defining payroll policies, identifying process improvements, and supervising payroll staff.
Must have:
  • Oversee payroll operations for EMEA and APAC regions.

  • Provide timely information to the finance team for reporting and audits.

What you will be working on

  • Oversee payroll operations for EMEA and APAC regions, ensuring compliance with local regulations, tax laws, and company policies.
  • Process end-to-end payroll for approximately 800 employees within the EMEA/APAC region.
  • Provide timely information to the finance team for financial reporting and audits.
  • Support employees with questions related to pay.
  • Coordinate with HR and finance teams to gather necessary payroll data and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Support managing the local Time and Attendance systems.
  • Assist with managing HR systems for EMEA and APAC including working with the global HRIS team to ensure consistent use.
  • Collaborate with IT and payroll software vendors to implement system upgrades or changes.
  • Define and maintain up-to-date Payroll policies, procedures, and records in compliance with local legal requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in payroll operations across both regions and implement best practices.
  • Supervise and mentor payroll staff, conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback.

What you bring to the role

  • Minimum of eight years previous experience in payroll processing in a multinational company within the EMEA region.
  • Proven experience in managing payroll operations across multiple regions, specifically EMEA and APAC.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll laws and regulations in the EMEA region and familiarity with APAC payroll requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving abilities and Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English and German (preferred).
  • Ability to travel to regional offices.
