Your daily life

The Gennevilliers Campus is the heart of design, development, and support activities for major defense systems: radio communications, resilient network and infrastructure systems, satellite communications, collaborative combat, and cybersecurity. Located north of Paris, it is quickly accessible by public transport.

Within Thales's 4G/5G competence center, you will join a team of radio, network, and system experts who design and integrate innovative communication solutions in close collaboration with our clients.

The team defines technical solutions, selects suppliers, and integrates the various technological bricks according to client requirements and the product roadmap. Each solution follows a complete cycle, from demonstrator to prototype, up to the maturity of a product ready for industrialization.

In this context, your internship will consist of:

• Taking ownership of the tactical 4G/5G bubble solution, with the support of the team's experts, by configuring both the radio part and the core network users.
• Executing part of the test plan in the laboratory: configuring the system, collecting traces, analyzing results, and writing the corresponding test reports.
• Contributing to test automation, with a view to facilitating non-regression campaigns and preparing the industrialization of the solution.
• Conducting technical research (in standards or documentation) to design the necessary test benches to validate the proper functioning of the various functionalities.

Your profile

• Are you in your final year of engineering school (or equivalent university degree) with a specialization in networks and telecommunications, and are you looking for an end-of-study internship of 4 to 6 months?
• Have you already architected and configured IP network elements and perhaps 4G/5G elements?
• Do you have skills in software installation and configuration under Windows and ideally Linux, in a virtualized environment?
• Do you like working in an integrated team?
• Are you recognized for your taste for challenge and your developed investigative spirit: understanding, testing, diagnosing, solving?
• Do you demonstrate rigor and are you comfortable with technical documentation (reading and writing)?

All our internships are regulated and subject to remuneration whose amount is determined according to your level of study. The position may require access to information relating to national defense secrecy, the selected person will be subject to an authorization procedure, in accordance with the provisions of articles R.2311-1 et seq. of the Defense Code and IGI 1300 SGDSN/PSE of August 9, 2021.
