Job Description

This internship at Thales in Brest involves joining the Engineering Environments team within the Information Systems Directorate. The role focuses on the continuous improvement of the IT support chain and process management. Must Have:
  • Observe support request processing to identify friction points.
  • Identify improvement areas to simplify flows, reduce delays, and limit recurring incidents.
  • Draft an operational action plan and formalize procedures.
  • Implement a problem management process for recurring incidents.
  • Update and monitor key performance indicators, alert, and propose corrective actions.
  • Interest in IT service management and user support.
  • Proficiency in Excel for analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to analyze and structure information (KPIs, procedures).
  • Ease in leading meetings and conducting feedback sessions.

Your daily life

The Brest site hosts our digital services activities as well as Thales' expertise in development, integration, and maintenance for maritime patrol and surveillance systems, electronic warfare, sonar systems, and airborne anti-submarine warfare, as well as our digital services activities.

You will join the Engineering Environments team of the Information Systems Directorate, which deploys and maintains tools and processes for systems, software, and hardware engineering. You will contribute to the continuous improvement of the support chain and the management of processes in conjunction with the manager.

In this context, your missions are as follows:

  • Observe the processing of support requests and the sequence of interventions to identify friction points.
  • Identify areas for improvement to simplify flows, reduce delays, and limit recurring incidents.
  • Draft an operational action plan and formalize procedures and operating modes.
  • Implement a problem management process to track and resolve recurring incidents.
  • Update and monitor key performance indicators, alert, and propose corrective actions.

You are in a bachelor's, master's, or equivalent program in the field of quality, project management with an interest in technical subjects and you have the following skills:

  • Interest in IT service management and user support;
  • Proficiency in Excel for analysis and reporting (VBA ideally);
  • Ability to analyze and structure information (KPIs, procedures);
  • Ease in leading meetings and conducting feedback sessions;
  • Knowledge of JIRA/ITIL or ticketing tools appreciated.
