Job Description

This internship/working student position is part of the "Internet of Things – Digital Business" project, focusing on researching and developing innovative technologies related to Bosch Rexroth products. The role involves contributing to the development of hardware and software components and IoT services, as well as identifying new digital services and products. Responsibilities include conceiving, developing, implementing, and validating software algorithms, conducting system tests, and independently managing smaller projects in an agile environment.
Good To Have:
  • Experience and understanding of Linux (e.g., Debian)
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python
  • Knowledge in electronics
  • Knowledge of bus protocols such as CAN
Must Have:
  • Conceive, develop, implement, and validate software algorithms at device or cloud level
  • Independently carry out complete software system tests including final configuration of devices
  • Independently process smaller projects in an agile environment
  • Studying mechatronics, electrical engineering, (technical) computer science, mechanical engineering or a comparable course of study
  • Very good knowledge of the German language
  • Very good knowledge of the English language

Job Description

In the project "Internet of Things – Digital Business", new, innovative technologies related to our products are researched and developed.

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to participate in the development of hardware and software components and IoT services, as well as in the identification of new digital services & products, and experience this firsthand during the internship.

  • Create new things: You conceive, develop, implement, and validate software algorithms at device or cloud level.
  • Implement reliably: You independently carry out complete software system tests including final configuration of the devices.
  • Take responsibility: Independent processing of smaller projects in an agile environment.

Qualifications

  • Education: You are studying mechatronics, electrical engineering, (technical) computer science, mechanical engineering or a comparable course of study.
  • Enthusiasm: You are interested in gaining insight into one of the leading companies in drive and control technology and contributing there.
  • Experience and Know-How: Experience and understanding of Linux (e.g., Debian), and programming languages such as Python are an advantage. Knowledge in electronics and bus protocols such as CAN are desirable, but not absolutely necessary.
  • Languages: You have very good knowledge of the German and English language.
  • Personality: You are motivated to actively contribute your professional and personal skills.
  • Working style: A quick grasp and a structured way of thinking and working as well as teamwork skills complete your profile.

Start: from February/March 2026 or by arrangement

Duration: 5 - 6 months

Working hours for working student activity: 10 - 15 hours/week
