Job Description

TransUnion is seeking a Developer for Java development in Chennai. The role requires 3-6 years of experience with Java 17, Spring Boot, Microservices, and mandatory Python skills. Candidates should possess strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication, and knowledge of architectural styles. Responsibilities include developing software, resolving performance issues, and collaborating with teams. Basic understanding of web technologies and C/PERL is a plus.

Good To Have:

Experience with and/or good understanding of web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, CSS).
Basic understanding of C, PERL languages.
Basic understanding on code scan and standards.

Must Have:

3-6 years of demonstrable hands-on experience in software development.
3+ years of software engineering experience with Java (v 17), Web services, REST APIs, Spring, Hibernate, SpringBoot and Microservices.
Mandatory hands-on experience in Python.
SQL programming experience in Databases like Informix/PostgreSQL DB.
Solid understanding of SOAP / RESTful systems and principles of good API design.
Knowledge of development tools such as Git, Maven, Jenkins, Confluence, Splunk, SonarQube, etc.
Knowledge in Linux, including shell scripting skills.
Knowledge in CI/CD deployment model.

What We'll Bring:

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
