Since 2019, IS IT Group Department launched a huge transformation of its organization and services at scale: NextGen IS IT. Recently, a new competence center has been established: CCOE (Cloud Center of Excellence) focusing on digital products and data, that provides and manage E2E common services to all VTs, Entities & Countries and aims for a better transversal collaboration.

The head of the organization is based in France, and the structure growth up very quickly starting with a first local organization in Romania for development of Digital Products (Application custom development in Thales Azure Cloud) in 2020 and continuously growing to the current IS/IT Digital Accelerator tribe, working on a new and more efficient operating model.

JOB SUMMARY

IS/IT Digital Products stream (part of IS/IT Digital Accelerator) aims to scale MVP into digital products and integrate them to the Thalesian ecosystem for Thales functions to solve the users’ pain points.

We are working on Azure on most of our project (sometimes the prod is on premise, but you won’t operate it) with the target to transition to GCP. Our infra stack is K8s. The team chooses its managed services and applicative stack.

Our Front End stack:

• React or Angular (project-dependent)
• TypeScript/JavaScript
• CSS-in-JS, Tailwind, Material Design, and traditional CSS
• API consumption and integration (REST and occasionally GraphQL)

Our development & CI/CD stack:

• VSCode/Intellij or IDE of your choice
• Git (via GitLab) and GitLab CI
• SonarQube for static code analysis
• Postman or similar tools for API testing

Our design & collaboration tools:

• Figma (for design handoff and collaboration)
• Jira Cloud, Miro
• Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban, depending on the team)

Other skills:

• Basic SQL for interfacing with backend teams
• Experience with writing unit and integration tests for frontend (Jest, Testing Library, Cypress, etc.)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other related courses
• 3+ years working as a developer using Java
