Job Description

Synechron is a global consulting firm specializing in digital transformation for financial services, leveraging AI, Cloud & DevOps, Data, and Software Engineering. They are seeking a proficient IT Capacity Management/ITSM professional to assist with application onboarding. The role focuses on performance and capacity, including risk and regulatory management, and information security. Responsibilities include reviewing technical documentation, forecasting capacity impacts, and analyzing performance test results to measure and interpret capacity thresholds.
Must Have:
  • Review technical application documentation to identify potential capacity impacts.
  • Work with Production Support owners to assist in providing forecasts and models for performance and capacity.
  • Review saturation test results and artifacts (e.g., AppDynamics, DynaTrace, Splunk, SAR/vmstat, application logs and Performance Center results).
  • Measure and interpret capacity thresholds/limits.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of IT Capacity Management experience.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of capacity planning methodologies.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of mathematical/statistical and quantitative analytics.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of ITIL capacity management best practices COBIT framework.
  • Foster a culture of support and knowledge sharing.
  • Experience with Infrastructure architecture.
  • Proficiency in ITSM.
  • Familiarity with AppDynamics/DynaTrace.
  • Experience with Splunk.
  • Knowledge of Operating System Performance Measurement Tools (SAR/PerfMon).
  • Familiarity with True Sight Capacity Optimizer.
  • Experience with Agile Framework – Jira.

Our challenge

We are looking for a proficient IT Capacity Management/ITSM to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with multiple applications onboarding and have a specific set of deliverables around Performance and Capacity Includes Risk and Regulatory Management, Information Security Generalist Skills, Information Security Management.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $110k - $115k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Candidate will be required to review technical application documentation in an effort to identify potential capacity impacts alongside Markets Production Support owners.
  • Candidate will work with Production Support owners to collectively assist in providing forecasts and models for performance and capacity of impacted components.
  • Once performance testing is underway, the candidate will review saturation test results and artifacts (e.g., AppDynamics, DynaTrace, Splunk, SAR/vmstat, application logs and Performance Center results) to measure and interpret capacity thresholds/limits.

Requirements:

  • Minimum experienced greater than 3-5 years of IT Capacity Management.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of capacity planning methodologies.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of mathematical/statistical and quantitative analytics.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of ITIL capacity management best practices COBIT framework.
  • The candidate will be expected to foster a culture of support and knowledge sharing.
