As a leader in automotive innovation, we are seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer for our Cergy site, headquarters of the Valeo Power Division. This role involves deploying and implementing IT infrastructure standards across French, Belgian, and South African production sites. The mission is to enhance efficiency, manage costs, minimize service interruptions, and optimize user experience within the IT infrastructure, covering data centers, workstations, telecommunications, and security.
Must have:
  • Deploy group standard infrastructure on sites.
  • Manage IT project execution with local IT and external providers.
  • Ensure compliance with R&D technical standards.
  • Provide support for all site infrastructure (VM, Network, WAN).
  • Manage incidents not handled by external providers.
  • Manage site IT documentation.

The Valeo Power Division of the Group brings together expertise in thermal management systems and propulsion systems, reducing pollutant emissions and maximizing vehicle autonomy.

The Valeo Site based in Cergy (95) is the headquarters of the Valeo Power Division. This Research & Development center brings together 800 employees around the design of electric propulsion systems (inverter, on-board charger, etc.).

We are recruiting an IT Infrastructure Engineer

Your missions:

As a member of the France IT Infrastructure team, your mission will be to deploy and implement the company's and/or sector's IT infrastructure standards and best practices in French, Belgian, and South African production sites to improve infrastructure efficiency, control costs, reduce service interruptions, and optimize user experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Scope: Data Centers, Workstations, Telecommunications, Security.
  • Deploy the group's standard infrastructure within the sites.
  • Manage the execution of IT projects in partnership with local IT services and external providers.
  • -Ensure compliance with R&D technical standards. Provide support for all site infrastructure (VM, Network, WAN…).
  • Promote innovation and collaborate with sites for the implementation of new solutions. Ensure information confidentiality.
  • Manage incidents not handled by external providers. Manage site IT documentation.

Skills:

Required technical skills (similar competing technologies also accepted)

The candidate must possess skills and/or experience in several of the bolded areas and technologies below (or in similar competing technologies). Skill and/or experience in other areas is a plus. Generally, the candidate must have a good understanding of underlying IT concepts, strong motivation to learn, and great ingenuity to propose solutions adapted to complex problems.

Network and network services: WAN / LAN / Wi-Fi (TCP/IP, VPN, QoS, Cisco, good cabling practices). Telephony and audio/video conferencing (CUCM, Analog, VoIP, ToIP) Active Directory (DC, GPO), DHCP, DNS, SMTP Servers, Storage, Middleware, Datacenter Datacenters (Cooling, Fire prevention, Racking) Server hardware (UPS, servers, SAN) Virtualization hypervisor (HyperV) Server operating system (mainly Windows, but also some Unix systems) Backup and DRP Oracle (SQL, DBA, RMAN, Performance, Oracle Enterprise Manager) File and print servers (Microsoft) Remote Desktop Services (Servers, Thin clients) Monitoring.

User environment and support: Helpdesk knowledge (Process, ITIL, Incident, Problem, SLA,…) Software deployment, inventory and asset management Terminal hardware (Laptops, desktops, tablets, Thin clients) Printing (Photocopiers, multifunction devices,…)

Security: Firewall Network Access Control (802.1x) Internal Audit Antivirus Syslog Single Sign-On Solutions.

Proficiency in English is essential for communicating with internal and external clients.

Skills in other IT infrastructure-related topics are also highly valued. The position requires frequent on-site visits to supervise Valeo sites within our scope, perform maintenance tasks, introduce and/or deploy new technologies, etc. Business trips are to be expected, mainly in France and Belgium. For system maintenance or urgent issues, night or weekend working hours are sometimes necessary.

About you:

  • You have at least a Bac+2 (equivalent to a 2-year post-secondary degree)
  • At least 3 years of IT experience and a strong technical background (e.g., a master's degree in IT).
  • A driving license (B).
  • A project manager role.
  • Good command of English.
  • Skills in other IT infrastructure-related topics are also highly valued.
  • You are open to travel with a flexible schedule.
