Prototype Design Leader

The Prototype Design Leader coordinates the entire prototype manufacturing process for Project Managers, acting as the central point of contact. This role involves organizing activities across Protoshop functions, including Process, Production, Logistics, Purchasing, and Quality, to ensure timely, budget-compliant, and high-quality prototype delivery. The leader is responsible for managing the construction process, providing critical feedback to R&D teams, and leading effective meetings to improve design and mitigate risks.

Must Have

• Coordinate the entire prototype manufacturing process for Project Managers (P1, P2, P3).
• Organize activities across Protoshop functions (Process, Production, Logistics/Supply Chain, Purchasing, Quality).
• Ensure prototypes are delivered on time, within budget, and with top quality, integrating client requirements.
• Plan the process, monitor costs, and ensure prototype construction and testing fit within established frameworks.
• Provide quick feedback to project teams to improve design and eliminate risks.
• Manage the assembly, commissioning, and preparation of first product units for validation.
• Lead meaningful meetings.
• At least 3 years of experience in the automotive industry in prototypes, process/industrialization, or R&D product stage.
• Fluent in English.
• Ability to manage task execution, enforce deadlines, and find solutions.

What Will You Do? (Your Coordination Mission):

• Key Process Coordination. You are the central point managing and coordinating all prototype manufacturing activity on behalf of Project Managers (P1, P2, P3) - you are their main and first contact.
• You will connect and organize the activities of key functions within Protoshop – closely cooperating with Process, Production (Supervisor, Technicians, Operators), Logistics/Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Quality – to ensure efficient prototype execution.
• Take Responsibility for Deliveries. You are responsible for ensuring that prototypes are delivered on time, within budget, and with top quality, integrating internal and external client requirements.
• Manage Schedule and Budget. You plan the process, monitor costs, and ensure that prototype construction and testing fit within the assumed frameworks.
• Be a Key R&D Partner. You provide quick feedback to project teams – your information is crucial to improve design and eliminate risks.
• Manage the Construction Process. You are responsible for ensuring that the first units of our products are efficiently assembled, launched, and prepared for validation.
• Lead meetings that make sense.

About You:

• You have at least 3 years of experience in the automotive industry in the area of prototypes, process/industrialization, product (at R&D stage).
• You are fluent in English - conversations with clients, suppliers, presentations, etc. are not foreign to you.
• You can manage task execution, enforce deadlines, and find solutions.
• Knowledge of products such as electric motors will be an additional asset.
