We are seeking an experienced and strategic IT Infrastructure Manager to lead and oversee the operations of Cloud, Compute, Database, Storage, and Backup systems across our enterprise environment. This role is critical for ensuring high availability, performance, security, and scalability of core infrastructure components. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge across on-prem and cloud environments, be hands-on with automation, and demonstrate strong leadership in managing global teams, vendors, and cross-functional projects. This role reports to the Senior Manager of Infrastructure and will work closely with architecture, security, and application teams to align infrastructure services with business goals.
Must have:
  • Ensure system availability, performance, scalability, and security across enterprise platforms.
  • Oversee the resolution of IT incidents and problems.
  • Drive automation of infrastructure operations using scripting and configuration management tools.
  • Implement and manage lifecycle activities including patching, upgrades, capacity planning.
  • Lead a global team of infrastructure engineers.
  • Lead daily operations of Compute (Windows/Linux/virtualization), Database, Storage & backup infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cloud teams to manage hybrid and cloud-native infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Maintain SLAs and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with security and compliance teams to maintain alignment with internal controls and audit frameworks (CIS, ISO, SOC).
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and escalations for infrastructure services.
  • Drive modernization initiatives such as cloud migration, data centre consolidation, and platform standardization through automation.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in IT Infrastructure.
  • At least 5-6 years in a leadership role.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools and scripting (e.g., Ansible, PowerShell, Python, Terraform, Chef, or similar).
  • In-depth understanding of cloud infrastructure services (AWS, Azure, or GCP), especially in hybrid environments.
  • Experience designing and maintaining high availability and disaster recovery environments.
  • Proven ability to lead infrastructure transformation projects and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Technical expertise in Virtualization (VMware, OLVM), Windows/Linux server administration, Enterprise storage systems (NetApp, Pure), Backup platforms (Commvault, Rubrik), and Database platforms (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL).
Good to have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (master’s preferred).
  • Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, AWS/Azure/GCP, or automation-related certifications are a plus.

Position Overview

This role is critical for ensuring high availability, performance, security, and scalability of core infrastructure components. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge across on-prem and cloud environments, be hands-on with automation, and demonstrate strong leadership in managing global teams, vendors, and cross-functional projects. This role reports to the Senior Manager of Infrastructure and will work closely with architecture, security, and application teams to align infrastructure services with business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure system availability, performance, scalability, and security across enterprise platforms
  • Drive Operations Excellence: Oversee the resolution of IT incidents and problems, ensuring timely response, troubleshooting, and escalation as needed. Establish and enforce IT service management processes to minimize disruptions and downtime. Drive initiatives to improve availability, latency, scalability and efficiency of the enterprise IT landscape
  • Drive automation of infrastructure operations using scripting and configuration management tools to improve efficiency, reduce manual errors, and increase reliability
  • Implement and manage lifecycle activities including patching, upgrades, capacity planning, and end-of-life transitions
  • Lead a global team of infrastructure engineers, providing direction, mentoring, and performance evaluations
  • Lead daily operations of Compute (Windows/Linux/virtualization), Database (SQL, NoSQL, Cloud DBs), Storage & backup infrastructure
  • Collaborate with cloud teams to manage hybrid and cloud-native infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • Maintain SLAs and KPIs; provide regular reporting on system health, incidents, and capacity
  • Collaborate with security and compliance teams to maintain alignment with internal controls and audit frameworks (CIS, ISO, SOC)
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and escalations for infrastructure services
  • Drive modernization initiatives such as cloud migration, data centre consolidation, and platform standardization through automation
  • Define and track KPIs/SLAs for infrastructure health, utilization, uptime, and incidents
  • Regularly report performance and capacity metrics to leadership and other stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (master’s preferred)
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in IT Infrastructure, with at least 5-6 years in a leadership role
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools and scripting (e.g., Ansible, PowerShell, Python, Terraform, Chef, or similar)
  • In-depth understanding of cloud infrastructure services (AWS, Azure, or GCP), especially in hybrid environments
