Job Description & Summary

The Digital& team at PwC Poland consists of nearly 400 people. We are responsible for IT projects for Polish and international clients. We carry out many tasks. From designing, building, and implementing through developing functional specifications, data analysis in source systems to defining business requirements, supporting tests, and creating mobile applications. Within the department, we provide IT consulting services, mainly for financial sector institutions from Poland and abroad.

We are currently looking for candidates for the position of:

IT Manager (Software Engineering, IT Consulting, People Management)

Your future role:

• Designing and implementing modern solutions and processes,
• Active participation in coordinating the work of a team of nearly 200 developers,
• Participation in leading IT consulting projects (e.g., architecture audits, IT strategies, due diligence, transformations),
• Supporting sales processes by preparing consulting proposals and offers,
• Responsibility for the technical part of the product roadmap and supporting its implementation,
• Close cooperation with clients – conducting workshops, gathering requirements, presenting recommendations,
• Managing the release management of the developed system,
• Cooperation with the team of architects in designing high-performance and scalable solutions,
• Coordination of integration and implementation projects,
• Supporting the development of team members – mentoring, feedback, working on team culture.

Apply if:

• You have at least 5 years of experience in a managerial position in the IT area,
• You have experience in leading teams and projects – also from an organizational perspective,
• You can work with clients – listen, understand needs, translate them into technological solutions,
• You can effectively manage a team and engage them in achieving common goals,
• You have a higher education in a relevant field (IT or related),
• You have a good knowledge of system architecture and broad technical knowledge,
• You can program in any high-level language (e.g., C#, Java, Python),
• You know relational databases and issues related to performance and data structures,
• You understand the release management approach and have experience with its implementation,
• You are fluent in English, enabling smooth communication with clients.

Welcome:

• Experience working with AI-based solutions, especially using large language models (LLM), agent systems, and integration with cognitive services,
• Experience in a consulting environment or working on IT consulting projects,
• Participation in preparing technical and business proposals/offers,
• Experience in programming web applications or systems for processing large volumes of data,
• Knowledge of frontend technologies and distributed system architecture,
• Work in agile environments (Agile/Scrum),
• Knowledge of version control systems, design patterns, and software testing techniques.
