Job Summary
Seeking a highly motivated and skilled System Engineer or experienced Technician to join our IT team. The candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and general support of IT systems, ensuring their efficient and reliable operation. This role requires strong technical knowledge across various IT domains and excellent customer service skills. The specialist will act as a technical point of contact for CAD 911 support, ensuring correct software implementation, translating customer requirements, and auditing solutions. They will also manage software, databases, and IT assets in a mission-critical environment.
Must Have
- Install, maintain, and provide general support for IT systems.
- Act as software and IT technical point of contact during CAD 911 support phases.
- Assure correct implementation of software solutions and audit implementation.
- Translate customer requirements into technical specifications.
- Create and supervise guidelines for optimal operation of software and databases.
- Be the focal point for escalations of SW and database issues.
- Administer and configure software, databases, and IT assets (Windows Server, Linux, SQL Server, PBXs, Networking).
- Work 5x8 on site a 24/7 rotating shift on call.
- Be able to work overtime as required.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering related grade or over three years of education or related work experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; English is mandatory.
Good to Have
- Experience with SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) is highly valued.
- VMWare, Microsoft Administration, or other IT certifications desired.

Job Description
Seeking a highly motivated and skilled System Engineer or experienced Technician to join our IT team. The candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and general support of IT systems, ensuring their efficient and reliable operation. This role requires strong technical knowledge across various IT domains and excellent customer service skills.
Act as software and IT technical point of contact during the CAD 911 support phases and potential expansions.
Assures the correct implementation of the software solution, acting as a middle point between the customer and the Motorola’s support team. Translates customers requirements into technical specifications to be delivered to the provider and audits the implementation. Teamwork is highly needed to work with hardware IT engineers where the solutions will be on premise installed.
During the support phase, creates and supervises guidelines to ensure a optimal operation of software and databases, being the focal point of scalations of SW and databases issues. If necessary will escalates issues to the provider. This position will be the main responsabile of the software and databases, which will work under a mission critical environment.
Scope of Responsibilities / Expectations
- Technical Responsible for assurance the CAD product lifecycle in the customer, related to IT core subsystems.
- Supports customer activations and responsible for configuration adjustments as required for management acceptance testing.
- Applies IT knowledge to the project team, supporting or interfacing with Customer Support Manager and customer technical counterparts and vendors IT experts.
- Ensures configurations meet customer expectations as well as industry and product standards.
- Responsible for accurate back office system data record management.
- Responsible for the software, databases and IT assets administration and configuration via thorough skill set including experience in mainly SO Windows Server, Linux, SQL Server, and others like PBXs and Networking. Experience with SSRS is highly valued.
- Knowledge in Networking, firewalls, Servers, WAN , LAN , PCs platforms.
Basic Requirements
Desired Background/Knowledge/Skills
- Bachelors degree in Engineering related grade.
- Over three years of education or related work experience
- Troubleshooting experience
- Databases. SQL Server, SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)
- VMWare, Microsoft Administration, or other IT certifications desired
- Network protocol monitoring or support: VPN, MPLS, BGP, VOIP, SIP
- Experience administering Microsoft CRM, AntiVirus, and Backup solutions
- Network Monitoring experience using Nagios, Zabbix, Solarwinds, Federos, PagerDuty, or other dashboard monitoring solution.
- Experience using ServiceNow, Remedy, or other ITSM platform
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. English is mandatory.
- Must be able to work 5x8 on site a 24/7 rotating shift on call.
- Must be able to work overtime as required
