Job Summary
As a senior software engineer at Motorola Solutions, you will join the Software Enterprise's CC-Connector team. This role involves building next-generation cloud-hosted and on-premise solutions for public safety customers globally. The position requires a strong backend developer with cloud and database knowledge, capable of working with development and automation teams to scale mission-critical software deployments and reduce go-to-market costs. You will drive functional, certification, and tool development initiatives.
Must Have
- BS Degree in Computer Science (or related technical equivalent)
- Experience with C#, .NET Core, REST, WCF, Websocket and Angular
- Experience with the Azure ecosystem, deployment and release pipelines
- Experience in using Virtual systems, Linux/Redhat, and container technologies
- Experience with API publishing and certification
- Strong background in automated testing tool-set on both traditional and Cloud systems with coverage on API, Azure-based Microservices, and OnPrem WCF-based systems
- Strong working knowledge in understanding complex end-to-end systems with multiple internal and external interfaces
- Good experience in dealing with interface incompatibilities
- Experience with software technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Git
- Experience certifying systems built using Web (REST) APIs
- Knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL data stores
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customer
Good to Have
- Experience in using server/client certificates is preferred
- Interested in working in a continuous deployment environment
- Ability to certify the systems in an automated manner
- Experience with modern web app verification using HTML5, JavaScript (AngularJS), and the automation of the same
- Knowledge of client- and server-side web app performance scaling techniques
- Real-time application testing using WebSockets, SignalR, or Socket.IO
- Familiarity with performing Load and stress testing using automated tools
- Postgres knowledge is preferred
- Working knowledge of Linux and Windows
- Redhat Linux knowledge is preferred

Job Description
We are looking for a software engineer with strong backend with Cloud knowledge, along with Database knowledge, who is a fast learner with good communication, analytical, and troubleshooting skills, and good experience with various software development/verification methodologies.
The developer is expected to work with development and automation teams to drive various Cloud-based functional, certification, and tool development initiatives to help scale complex mission-critical public safety software development/deployments and reduce go-to-market costs:
Qualifications:
- BS Degree in Computer Science (or related technical equivalent)
- Experience with C#, .NET Core, REST, WCF, Websocket

- Knowledge of client- and server-side web app performance scaling techniques;
- Real-time application testing using WebSockets, SignalR, or Socket.IO

This position is subject to working in high-security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.
Target Base Salary Range: $70,000 - $75,000 USD.
Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
