Job Description

This role involves market insight and strategy, including analyzing product selling points, user insights, and strategic support based on product features and operational goals. It also covers marketing planning and execution for PC/console games, including influencer collaborations, PR, paid media, offline events, and OOH advertising, with a focus on building a Japanese PC influencer network. The manager will support ROI data monitoring and optimize strategies based on promotion and product data, and facilitate cross-team collaboration with headquarters and development teams for global and local initiatives in Japan.
Must Have:
  • Proficiency in Japanese and overseas PC/console games, extensive gaming experience, deep understanding of player communities.
  • Familiarity with domestic KOL and media environment, high market sensitivity, excellent communication, strong teamwork.
  • Deep understanding of Japanese game user segments and consumption logic, especially PC and PlayStation users.
  • Stress resistance, adaptability to cross-cultural environments and collaboration with overseas teams.
  • Data analysis skills and awareness, ability to quickly adjust strategies based on marketing and product data.
  • Native-level Japanese, business-level English.

What the Role Entails

Job Responsibilities

1. Market Insight and Strategy: Provide product selling point analysis, user insights, and strategic support based on product characteristics, operational goals, and promotional needs. Ability to deeply understand and grasp target user needs.

2. Market Planning and Execution: Follow up on PC/console game market promotion activities, including influencer collaborations, PR, paid media, offline events, and OOH. Participate in establishing a Japanese PC influencer collaboration network.

3. Data Monitoring and Optimization: Support the implementation of the ROI data monitoring system for the Japanese PC market, and timely adjust investment strategies based on promotion and product data.

4. Cross-team Collaboration: Communicate and coordinate with headquarters and development teams to support the implementation of global activities in Japan, as well as Japan-led local activities.

Who We Look For

Requirements

1. Familiarity with Japanese and overseas PC/console games, with rich gaming experience, and a deep understanding of player communities and their needs.

2. Familiarity with the local KOL and media ecosystem, excellent market sensitivity, good at communication, and a strong sense of teamwork.

3. Deep understanding of Japanese game user segments and consumption logic, especially PC and PlayStation users.

4. Good stress resistance, ability to adapt to cross-cultural environments and communicate with overseas teams.

5. Possess data analysis skills and awareness, capable of timely adjusting and analyzing marketing and product data.

6. Language skills: Proficient in Japanese, English can be used as a working language.
