Description
We’re looking for a curious and motivated Junior Data Scientist to join our central Data Science team. You’ll take ownership of existing data science tools and pipelines – ensuring they run smoothly, are well-documented, and are continuously improved. Over time, you’ll grow into more advanced work, including building new models and working on new data-driven initiatives.
This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to work end-to-end: from understanding player behavior to improving ML models that affect millions of players.
What You’ll Do:
- Own & Maintain Pipelines: Take responsibility for existing ML/AI models, data pipelines, and tools. Monitor, debug, and optimize as needed.
- Learn & Improve: Deep-dive into existing solutions to understand how they work and propose improvements.
- Work with Data: Use SQL and Python to explore game data, track and detect changes in performance, and support decision-making.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work with data engineers, data scientists, analysts, product managers, and engineers to support ongoing projects and business needs.
- Grow Your Skills: With mentorship and support, gradually take on more complex problems, including modeling and experiment design.
- Contribute to AI/GenAI Initiatives: Support internal adoption and development of GenAI tools and explore ways to integrate them into our internal decision-making products.
Why Join Us?
- Learn from a seasoned central AI and Data Science team supporting all our mobile games.
- Own and improve existing data science and machine learning pipelines used across our portfolio.
- Gain exposure to AI/GenAI technologies and practical applications in gaming.
- Work in a collaborative, humble, and fun environment where you’ll have real impact.
Requirements
- MSc degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, Statistics, or equivalent
- 0–2 years of experience in a data science, machine learning engineering, or analytical role.
- Strong SQL and Python skills, with some hands-on project or internship experience.
- Eagerness to take ownership, troubleshoot, and improve existing systems.
- A solid understanding of computer science, statistics, and machine learning, and a passion for using data to solve real problems.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Knowledge of A/B testing and product experimentation.
- Bonus: Experience with any of the following – Airflow, FastAPI, Snowflake, BigQuery, MLflow, AWS, Github, Docker, APIs, MCPs, LangChain.
What Success Looks Like:
In your first 6–12 months, you’ll:
- Fully own and maintain several key pipelines and models used by the business.
- Build strong relationships across game studios and central teams.
- Show consistent growth by taking on more complex tasks and proposing meaningful improvements.
