Job Description

The Junior Graphic Designer will contribute to a wide range of high-impact projects. The role involves designing social assets, sales collateral, corporate publications, event booth designs, infographics, and data visualizations. The designer will collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements, ensure brand guideline adherence, manage branded asset libraries, and prioritize multiple design projects. The candidate should have excellent design skills, the ability to work at a fast pace, and enjoy taking the initiative.
Must have:
  • Strong portfolio showcasing effective design.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 2-4 years of experience.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft ecosystem.
  • Excellent understanding of design principles.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Team-oriented, enjoys collaborating.

About the Role:

Location: Arlington, VA hybrid schedule in office 2-3 days per week
Note: Visa sponsorship or transfer is not available for this position. Relocation assistance is not available for this position however we welcome candidates willing and able to self relocate near our Arlington, VA office.

Reporting to the Director of Brand & Digital Marketing, the Junior Graphic designer will champion the brand by delivering high-quality design and educating employees on how to present Fluence. This is an opportunity to contribute to a wide range of high-impact, high-visibility projects within the organization that span customer, investor, and employee audiences.

The Junior Graphic Designer at Fluence will:

    • Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop and execute visually stunning creative projects that elevate our brand, drive engagement, and boost conversions.
    • Design a variety of content, including social assets, sales collateral, corporate publications, event booth designs, infographics, and data visualizations.
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
    • Ensure adherence to brand guidelines across our internal and external presence to maintain a cohesive and consistent visual identity.
    • Manage our branded asset libraries and establish management processes to maintain them.
    • Prioritize and manage multiple design projects to ensure timely delivery and alignment with business needs.

What does the ideal candidate bring to Fluence?

    • A strong portfolio showcasing strategic and effective design. (Please include portfolio link on resume or in application.)
    • Bachelor’s degree with 2-4 years of experience in graphic design or equivalent work experience.
    • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
    • Proficient in the Microsoft ecosystem including SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Word.
    • Excellent understanding of design principles and ability to translate complex information into clear and engaging visuals.
    • Strong project management and organization skills to drive projects to completion.
    • Team-oriented, enjoys collaborating with (fun and smart) colleagues.

Actual compensation within this range is based on both experience and location.
