Lead Business Analyst

Euromonitor International is seeking a seasoned Lead Business Analyst for its Subscription Products team in Bengaluru. This hybrid role involves leading a team of 9 Business Analysts, bridging business needs with technology solutions, and ensuring strategic alignment in product development. Key responsibilities include team leadership, mentorship, translating complex business needs into actionable requirements, overseeing prioritization of initiatives, and ensuring timely delivery. The role also focuses on stakeholder engagement, driving process consistency, and knowledge sharing within the Technology function.

Must Have

• Proven experience managing and mentoring Business Analysts in a team of 8–12 people.
• Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (SCRUM), backlog management, and DevOps principles.
• Expertise in writing clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting artefacts.
• Proficiency in tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, Excel, SQL, and wireframing tools.

Good to Have

• Background in software development or data modelling.
• Experience working with distributed teams across geographies.
• Experience with AI projects.
• Familiarity with Passport and EMMA platforms.
• Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or equivalent.

What you will be doing We are seeking a seasoned Lead Business Analyst to join our Subscription Products team. This role is pivotal in bridging business needs with technology solutions, ensuring strategic alignment across product development initiatives. The successful candidate will lead a team of 9 Business Analysts, fostering a culture of excellence, mentorship, and continuous improvement. Reports to: Director of Product Management based in London Location: Bengaluru (Hybrid working model, required to be in the office for 2 days a week) Key drivers * Leadership & Team Management * Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 9 Business Analysts across multiple locations. * Foster a high-performance culture through coaching, feedback, and professional development. * Champion best practices in business analysis, ensuring consistency and quality across deliverables. * Strategic Analysis & Delivery * Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams. * Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements and user stories. * Oversee prioritization of BAU and strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with product goals. * Ensure timely and accurate delivery of work items, managing resource allocation and workload balancing. * Stakeholder Engagement * Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Product, Technology, and Commercial teams. * Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and reviews to elicit and validate requirements. * Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, providing updates, insights, and recommendations. * Process & Standards * Drive consistency in documentation, non-functional requirements, and analysis artefacts. * Promote the use of visual modelling tools (e.g., wireframes, workflows, use cases) to enhance understanding. * Contribute to the evolution of internal frameworks, tools, and methodologies. * Training & Knowledge Sharing * Deliver onboarding and ongoing training for new and existing BAs. * Share domain knowledge and technical insights across the Technology function.
