Job Summary

Sia Partners is expanding its presence in Western Australia, seeking an experienced Manager to lead its Government and Health practice in Perth. This role involves leading engagement teams to deliver tangible outcomes for government departments, hospitals, and private providers. The Manager will be responsible for project delivery, team development, client partnership, and driving business growth within the WA health sector, acting as a trusted advisor and future leader of the firm.

Must Have

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex health transformation projects.
  • Own the project plan, manage the budget/profitability, and ensure final deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop Senior Consultants and Analysts, providing coaching and performance feedback.
  • Act as the primary day-to-day point of contact for senior clients, transitioning to a trusted advisor.
  • Drive the commercial success of the Perth office.
  • Lead the development of proposals and tender responses.
  • Identify "add-on" opportunities within current projects.
  • Actively build professional network in the WA health sector.
  • 5 to 7+ years of experience in management consulting or transformation project delivery.
  • Proven track record of managing teams, owning project financials, and delivering high-pressure engagements.
  • Based in Perth and understand the local business context.

Good to Have

  • Experience delivering projects in the health sector, understanding the nuances of the Australian health system.
  • Experience delivering projects in the WA government sector.
  • Ability to manage project scope to avoid "scope creep" and deliver value while maintaining project margins.
  • Comfortable commanding a room, facilitating workshops, and presenting reports to Executives with authority and empathy.
  • Ability to guide a team to break down complex problems and review models for accuracy and logic.

In this role, you will lead engagement teams working alongside industry leaders to solve complex challenges within government departments, hospitals, health departments, not-for-profits, and private providers. We are looking for a future leader of our firm—someone with deep health consulting experience who is ready to own client relationships and drive team performance.

What you will do

As a Manager, you are the pivot point of our projects. You are responsible for the quality of delivery, the happiness of the client, and the development of your team. Your core focus will be:

  • Engagement Leadership: Lead end-to-end delivery of complex health transformation projects. You will own the project plan, manage the budget/profitability, and ensure the final deliverables meet Sia Partners’ quality standards.
  • Team Development: You won't just do the work; you will guide others to do it. You will manage, mentor, and develop Senior Consultants and Analysts, providing on-the-job coaching and performance feedback.
  • Client Partnership: Act as the primary day-to-day point of contact for senior clients. You will transition from "stakeholder management" to being a "trusted advisor," navigating political nuances and influencing decision-making at the executive level.
  • Business Growth: Drive the commercial success of the Perth office. You will lead the development of proposals and tender responses, identify "add-on" opportunities within your current projects, and actively build your own professional network in the WA health sector.

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Consulting DNA: You must have 5 to 7+ years of experience in management consulting or transformation project delivery. You have a proven track record of managing teams, owning project financials, and delivering high-pressure engagements.
  • Local Presence: You are based in Perth and understand the local business context.

Preferred Sector Experience

  • Health Expertise: Experience delivering projects in the health sector. We value candidates who understand the nuances of the Australian health system, including the interplay between State and Federal funding, clinical governance or digital health records, and or
  • WA Government Expertise: Experience delivering projects in the WA government sector. We value candidates who have worked in multiple different government departments delivering strategic projects.

Skills & Attributes

  • Commercial Acumen: You understand the business of consulting. You can manage project scope to avoid "scope creep" and understand how to deliver value while maintaining project margins.
  • Facilitation: You are comfortable commanding a room. Whether facilitating a workshop with clinicians or presenting a steering committee report to Executives, you communicate with authority and empathy.
  • Problem Structuring: You can guide a team to break down complex problems. You might not build every model yourself anymore, but you know exactly how they should look and can review them for accuracy and logic.
