Job Description
Your team:
You will join our ARTELIA Industrie Cherbourg (50) team, which works on large-scale, multi-disciplinary industrial projects (general installation, piping, industrial electricity, instrumentation, mechanics, processes, etc.).
The team, composed of 45 people (technicians/engineers), works on Project Management and Design & Build missions in the fields of Nuclear Industry, Naval, Agri-food, Petrochemistry, and Port Infrastructures, at all stages of a project from feasibility to execution and site supervision.
As an intern, you will evolve within a team dedicated to processing technical modifications and improving the industrial tools of a nuclear site, specifically a nuclear waste reprocessing plant in La Hague, whose technologies are cutting-edge and constantly improving, covering a significant plurality of trades: mechanical processes, fluids, electricity/electrotechnics, metal structures, equipment dismantling, radiation protection control.
Your missions:
As an Engineer Intern, you will join our Design Office and will be involved in the different phases of projects, from the elaboration of technical proposals to the entire execution of turnkey projects.
In this context, your missions will consist of:
- Analyzing needs,
- Creating a basic data collection
- Collecting documentation on the Client GED
- Collecting information from relevant departments (maintenance, safety, operations, specialists.)
- Researching solutions,
- Presenting projects, plans, technical notes, descriptions…
- Drafting specifications
- Participating in the consultation and selection of service providers
- Participating in site supervision
- Seeking permanent organizational, technical, and operational optimizations.
Example project topic: the complete revamping of a fiberglass unloading facility to prepare the feeding of a calciner for encapsulation, in compliance with FOH requirements.
Qualifications
Your strengths:
You are the ideal profile if you are currently pursuing a Bac+5 Industrial Engineering degree or equivalent (e.g., INSA, UTC, ENSAM… general engineering schools, ideally with a specialization in nuclear). You wish to join a company for your final year project. You are a person with a good managerial spirit, good writing skills (synthetic – concise…), rigorous, motivated, and methodical: monitoring project execution in compliance with Quality, Safety, Security, and Environment constraints.
You are familiar with IT tools such as Office Suite, databases, Solidworks CAD tool.
You never work alone; a good team spirit, an ability to take a step back in your missions, great curiosity, and a sense of sharing and mutual aid with your colleagues will be your assets for success.
