What you will do:
Nasdaq Trade Surveillance are looking for an experienced and creative Lead Data Scientist to help develop and deliver its AI strategy.

You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary research team alongside qualitative and quantitative researchers, data scientists and computer engineers to develop cutting-edge AI solutions that help our clients detect and investigate market manipulation and insider trading in capital markets.

The role involves:

• Working with data engineers to pull data from large, disparate and multi-modal data sources

• Working closely with colleagues to develop relevant features from the data to feed into AI models

• Taking requirements and utilising a range of AI techniques and models to address them (including developing models to detect anomalies, identify and describe suspicious patterns of activity, summarise and classify unstructured information and so on)

• Working with clients to deploy and test AI models in beta environments

• Contributing to, and helping to deliver, Nasdaq's Trade Surveillance AI strategy

• Helping to design, document and implement a model review governance process for NTS business

What We Expect:

• Be an expert in data science / machine learning / AI

• Have experience working with LLMs and 'Big' Data

• Have a proven track record of developing models that run in production environments

• Have good problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively

• Have excellent communication skills to be able to explain technical concepts to both AI experts as well as those with very little AI knowledge

• Be self-driven and able to work on their own as well as part of a multidisciplinary team

• Demonstrate an understanding and commitment to research principles and methods

• What Would Be Helpful:

• Experience setting up and leading a data science / AI function

• Some understanding/experience with product design/development practices

• Knowledge/Experience of financial markets and/or trade surveillance

This role is based in Vilnius. The company allows the flexibility to work half a week on-site and remotely (Hybrid model). As the selection and interview process is ongoing, please submit your application in English as soon as possible.
