We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Product Owner to lead the development and enhancement of high-impact insurance technology solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong execution skills, capable of translating business needs into actionable technical requirements and driving cross-functional collaboration.
Must have:
  • Serve as the Product and Project Owner for multiple high-impact initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into user stories and technical solutions.
  • Partner with engineering teams to align on release plans, resolve blockers, and ensure product relevance.
  • Define and manage product roadmaps, set priorities, and establish clear objectives.
  • Lead release planning, backlog grooming, and agile ceremonies (Kanban).
  • Monitor KPIs and user feedback to drive continuous product improvement.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in insurance and user experience.
  • Write detailed user stories and acceptance criteria to guide development.
  • Track development progress and report on milestones and deliverables.
  • Evaluate and prioritize incoming requests to ensure focus on high-value outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Product and Project Owner for multiple high-impact initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into user stories and technical solutions.
  • Partner with engineering teams to align on release plans, resolve blockers, and ensure product relevance.
  • Define and manage product roadmaps, set priorities, and establish clear objectives.
  • Lead release planning, backlog grooming, and agile ceremonies (Kanban).

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Experience with Jira/Jira Align or similar backlog management tools.
  • Proven ability to work on both customer-facing products and Mainframe systems.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Ability to break down complex technical issues for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering strategic initiatives and working in cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with whole life insurance products.
  • Experience in life new business, customer service, or product management.
  • ALMI certification.
