Job Description

As the Growth Lead at 1Weather (an InMobi company), you'll spearhead efforts to expand its user base, improve retention, and maximize engagement. This role blends strategy, data analysis, and execution to meet ambitious growth targets. Key responsibilities include developing and executing a comprehensive growth strategy, managing data-driven campaigns across multiple channels (organic, paid, partnerships), optimizing app store presence, building personalized user engagement strategies, setting and monitoring KPIs, conducting A/B testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You'll leverage expertise in push notifications, in-app campaigns, paid acquisition, organic growth, and analytics tools like Google Analytics or Mixpanel.
Must have:
  • 5+ years experience in growth/marketing/product roles in tech
  • Proven track record of scaling user bases for apps/platforms
  • Expertise in paid & organic growth channels (Google Ads, Meta, SEO, ASO)
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with analytics tools
  • Deep understanding of growth loops, funnel optimization, and retention metrics

About 1Weather:

With a strong focus on location-based insights and community engagement, we’re looking for a Growth Lead to help scale our user base and drive meaningful impact.

 

Role Overview:

As the Growth Lead, you will spearhead efforts to expand 1Weather’s user base, improve retention, and maximize user engagement. This role combines strategy, data-driven decision-making, and hands-on execution to achieve ambitious growth targets. You will work closely with product, marketing, content and engineering teams to unlock growth opportunities and ensure 1Weather remains a leader in the competitive weather app space.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Growth Strategy:
    1. Develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy to drive user acquisition, activation & retention
    2. Identify new market opportunities and create plans to penetrate them effectively.
  2. User Acquisition:
    1. Design and manage data-driven campaigns across multiple channels (organic, paid, partnerships).
    2. Optimize app store presence to improve visibility and conversion rates (ASO).
    3. Test and scale innovative acquisition tactics leveraging location-based services and community involvement.
  3. Retention & Engagement:
    1. Build personalized user engagement strategies leveraging 1Weather’s unique features like location chips and hyperlocal insights.
    2. Partner with product and UX teams to create features that drive habit formation and user stickiness.
    3. Implement push notifications, and in-app campaigns to keep users engaged.
  4. Data & Analytics:
    1. Set and monitor KPIs to measure the success of growth initiatives.
    2. Use analytics tools to understand user behavior and identify areas for improvement.
    3. Conduct A/B testing to optimize campaigns, features, and user flows.
  5. Cross-functional Collaboration:
    1. Work with product managers, designers, and engineers to prioritize growth-focused product changes.
    2. Collaborate with the marketing team on brand messaging and creative campaigns.
    3. Partner with sales and customer success teams to align on growth-driven objectives.
  6. Leadership:
    1. Mentor and guide team members focused on growth initiatives.
    2. Advocate for a growth-oriented mindset across the organization.

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years in growth, marketing, or product roles, preferably in a tech-driven or mobile-first company.
  • Skills:
    • Proven track record in scaling user bases for apps or digital platforms.
    • Expertise in push notifications, in-app campaigns
    • Expertise in paid acquisition channels (Google Ads, Meta, programmatic, etc.) and organic growth (SEO, ASO).
    • Strong analytical mindset; proficiency with tools like Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar.
    • Deep understanding of growth loops, funnel optimization, and retention metrics.
  • Behavioral:
    • Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
