Job Summary
The Lead Lighter collaborates with the show-side supervision team to help maintain and schedule tasks and assignments, ensuring artists stay on track and deliver high-end photo-realistic CG characters and environments. Key responsibilities include creating and designing lighting for complex scenes, developing looks for assets, animation files, simulations, and effects elements, and working with supervisors and compositors to ensure all elements achieve the desired look. The role also involves leading and mentoring a team of artists, offering constructive feedback, and managing tasks within production schedules and tight deadlines.
Must Have
- Bachelor's degree in Digital Arts or equivalent experience
- Minimum five years of experience in visual effects for feature films
- Previous leadership experience
- Proficiency with 3ds Max and VRay preferred
- Clear understanding of color space, image-based lighting, shading, and advanced rendering methodologies
- Able to multitask and complete tasks within production schedules
- Team player, responds well to direction
Good to Have
- Experience with Maya -> VRay, Arnold or other software

- Able to multitask and complete tasks within production schedules and tight deadlines in an organized manner
- A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and responds well to direction and guidance from supervisors
