This job drives product strategy in alignment with a shared vision, collaborating. The role involves developing a Payments strategy leveraging Xoom components and creating synergy with PayPal. It requires designing outstanding payments products for PayPal's customers and building payment processing products for the larger business. Key responsibilities include defining product requirements, writing detailed specifications, liaising with cross-functional teams, defining KPIs, documenting strategic roadmaps, and ensuring Payments compliance with European markets.
Must Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a closely related field like Information Technology
  • Five years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation
  • Deep understanding of the payments landscape, including global payment methods, cross-border transactions, foreign exchange (FX), and international regulations (3 years)
  • Proven experience in defining product requirements, writing detailed specifications, and managing the product lifecycle (5 years)
  • Strong analytical skills to define and measure KPIs for product success, analyze market trends, and identify opportunities for growth (2 years)
  • Understanding of financial & privacy regulations for European markets (2 years)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly document product roadmaps, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and effectively communicate technical details to stakeholders (5 years)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines (5 years)
  • Understanding of design thinking principles to create user-centric payment products (5 years)

Job Summary: This job drives product strategy in alignment with a shared vision, collaborating Job Description: Develop Payments strategy around utilizing best components of Xoom while creating synergy with PayPal. Design outstanding payments products that PayPal’s customers will love and build upon payment processing products that can be utilized by the larger business. Define product requirements and implementation details, writing clear, detailed, and thorough specifications for complex features, functionality, and products. Liaise with engineering, design, product management, and other cross-functional stakeholders to ensure features and technical specifications meet defined business requirements. Define and measure KPIs for success of new products and markets. Create and thoroughly document strategic product roadmap recommendations. Ensure proper communication cadence with local and internal leadership. Identify partnerships and service providers that Xoom can leverage to win in global markets. Engage in contract negotiations and service details. Ensure Payments compliance with European markets including knowledge sharing on PSDII and SCA. Partial telecommuting permitted within a commutable distance.
