Business Consultant (Business & Solutions Design : for the Financial Industry)
Responsibilities
Our team is responsible for a consulting approach that specializes in contributing to business creation and concretization of needs from a business perspective, working together with sales and solution (SE) account teams to support the realization and promotion of transformation themes for customers, as part of pre-sales activities.
Therefore, to clarify the reasons for customer transformation (Why?) and the objectives of transformation (What?), we collaborate with customer executives and key personnel, and provide various workshops and interview programs based on the management and business perspectives of customer companies, supporting the formulation of transformation concepts.
Main roles of the team: Create, expand, shape, and advance business
- For business themes primarily received from Cxx-class executives in the financial industry, visualize the ideal state that the company aims for, involving management and executive levels.
- Example: Design a cross-departmental customer-centric "DX" vision.
- Example: Conceptualize next-generation customer experience with a thorough customer perspective.
- Example: Support the design and conceptualization of new businesses/services.
- Conceptualize concrete realization images utilizing Salesforce solutions for the direction management aims for.
- Example: Focus on operations and scenes, visualize new ways of working on-site more concretely, and organize the value provided to customers through them.
- Example: Identify specific business use cases with themes such as AI Agent and internal/external data utilization, and organize the value for users including customers, employees, and partner companies, as well as for the company, through the application of such technology.
- Together with the internal sales team, formulate sales strategies for making a big impact on strategic accounts.
- Example: Brainstorming proposal ideas for customer company white spaces.
- Example: Leading internal discussions for internal account teams to discover new opportunities.
Accounts and scope of activities
- Target customer companies primarily in the financial industry, regardless of company size.
- Provide support for more complex deals involving multiple Cloud products and diverse stakeholders.
- Develop various programs such as workshops for sales activities.
- Activities are generally up to the phases of 00 opportunity creation, 01 opportunity assessment, 02 problem identification, and 03 value proposition.
- Activities cover not only companies based in Japan but also those in Korea.
Minimum Requirements
- Ability to understand business challenges at the management level and lead to essential themes and discussions.
- Ability to lead communication and project management throughout the entire project lifecycle, including client core members.
- Ability to think strategically and develop solutions from a bird's-eye view in complex, ambiguous environments/situations, and produce output.
- Ability to approach assumed business challenges and needs under various business trends in the financial industry with hypotheses and guide towards solutions.
- Ability to discuss business on an equal footing with on-site (manager level) personnel and provide insights/proposals.
- Interest and willingness to contribute to promoting new business opportunities utilizing digital technology.
- Presentation/documentation/discussion facilitation skills for manager-level to executive-level.
Preferred Requirements
- Skills and experience in leading complex projects with multiple skill levels and different internal team members.
- Practical knowledge of Salesforce products that can be used in actual operations.
- Experience in driving organizational transformation/reform involving management within a customer's organization.
- Knowledge/experience in business strategy, business model design, and corporate transformation.
- Broad knowledge and interest in the relevance of technology trends to client businesses.
- Knowledge/experience in innovation, AI, and the latest technologies and their business application. Knowledge of user research and user-centered design principles.
- Practical experience in the financial industry (including internships), or experience in proposals/delivery.
- Experience in real project work at a business consulting firm.
- Proposal capabilities and experience as a pre-sales consultant.
- Business level English.
