Job Description

Haleon is seeking a Learning and Development Manager for a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role involves supporting the capability development of the demand and supply planning organization and center of excellence. This includes defining skills with subject matter experts and leaders, developing assessment strategies, analyzing data, and designing learning interventions to enhance skills and drive technical mastery. The position requires strong business partnering skills, collaboration with stakeholders across various levels, and accountability for the design and delivery of effective learning solutions. The manager will coordinate the development and deployment of technical competencies and learning solutions, ensuring alignment with the broader quality, supply chain, and customer capability framework.
Must have:
  • Experience in capability frameworks and measurement of competency.
  • Understanding of instructional design or learning science principles.
  • Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Experience working at pace and managing multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and strategy development.
  • Ability to work with Planning, Logistics, and Customer Services.
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of supply and demand planning.
  • Broad business acumen.
  • Experience with change management methodology.
  • Understanding of blended/hybrid learning methods.
  • Experience creating and managing mentorship programs.

About the role

To support capability, build for the demand and supply planning organisation and center of excellence, including coordination of skills definition with SMEs and leaders, assessment strategies, data analysis and the design of learning interventions to enhance skills and drive technical mastery.

Collaborating with all levels of business unit/function stakeholders effectively; demonstrating strong business partnering skills and highly accountable for the design and delivery of fit for purpose solutions. Use business and commercial knowledge to challenge, influence and make informed recommendations on an ongoing basis.

Co-ordinate the effective development, deployment and embedding of the technical competency and associated learning solutions across the planning organisation and ensure these are aligned to the broader QSC capability framework.

Requirements

  • Experience in capability frameworks, or capability build, and measurement of competency and behavioural change
  • Understanding of instructional design, or learning science principles
  • Experience in building strong cross-functional relationships and networks to get things done
  • Working at pace, prioritising work and running multiple projects simultaneously taking accountability for delivery to project timelines.
  • The ability to work effectively with various departments such as Planning, Logistics, and Customer Services.
  • Proficiency in analysing metrics and developing strategies based on data.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of supply and demand planning, and broad business acumen
  • Experience of change management methodology
  • Understanding of blended/hybrid learning delivery methods, tools, formats and platforms, and the ability to look for new solutions that challenge the status quo when needed.
  • Experience in creating and managing mentorship programs.
