This role involves advising municipalities on debt assistance, strengthening the knowledge base, and translating relevant developments into practical information. The ideal candidate is a legal professional with experience in municipal debt assistance, capable of writing clear legal texts, answering complex legal questions, and contributing to policy and organizational improvements. They should be proactive, customer-focused, and able to structure legal information quickly.
Must Have:
  • Signal relevant developments in Debt Assistance.
  • Translate developments into practical information for clients.
  • Share legal knowledge that municipalities need to optimally help their residents with debts.
  • Write legal texts and practice-oriented information for municipalities.
  • Answer legal questions from municipalities and advise them.
  • Contribute to policy, quality, and organizational challenges within municipalities.
  • Completed HBO/WO education, preferably in Dutch law or similar.
  • Experience with Debt Assistance within the municipal market.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to clearly convey complex legal matters.
  • Willingness to work both independently and in a team.

Do you have experience with Debt Assistance? Do you want to support municipalities to help their residents even better? Then you are the one we are looking for!

Based on your experience, you will take on an advisory role and strengthen the Debt Assistance knowledge base.

What will you do?

  • You identify relevant developments concerning Debt Assistance and translate them into practice-oriented information for our clients.
  • You share (legal) knowledge that municipalities need to optimally help their residents with debts.
  • You write legal texts and practice-oriented information for municipalities.
  • You are able to answer legal questions from municipalities and advise them.
  • You contribute to policy, quality, and organizational challenges within municipalities.

Who are you?

You are able to present your knowledge clearly and in understandable language for a broad audience. You write easily and to the point and are interested in the latest developments. In addition, you are accurate and can quickly structure legal information. You are customer-oriented and proactive, and come up with new ideas and innovation proposals.

In addition, we expect:

  • A completed HBO/WO education, preferably in Dutch law or similar.
  • Experience with Debt Assistance within the municipal market.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to clearly convey complex legal matters.
  • Willingness to work both independently and in a team.

What do we offer?

We offer a challenging position for 24 hours per week in a dynamic and international environment. The location for this position is Venlo; we work in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and the rest of the week you can work from home if desired.
